Intersection of BIKE and HIKE

The Chips Bag was created by Welldone of Nagoya, Japan, a bag designer and manufacturer himself, based on his own experience of biking and hiking.

Have you ever felt stress when using a hiking backpack (sack) because your head or helmet hits the bag when you are in a riding position on a bicycle?

Also, have you ever found it difficult to get to the bottom of a roll-top bag?

Through the experience of using a variety of backpacks and making many prototypes, Welldone has developed the Chips Bag as a unique solution to the problems that occur with hiking backpacks.

Biking, hiking, camping, festivals, etC It can be used comfortably in a variety of places and for a variety of activities in a single bag.

This is a backpack for people who enjoy various ways of playing, incorporating his many years of "play" experience into the bag.

Opening and closing mechanism inspired by the "party opening" of potato chips

The basic structure is a "roll-top" backpack, in which the top fabric is rolled up and buckled to form a lid, but what makes the Chips Bag unique is that the interior can be accessed directly through a watertight zip placed vertically on the bag's surface, like a bag of potato chips.

This mechanism allows direct access to the interior luggage without opening the roll top, and when used in conjunction with the roll top, allows a large view into the interior of the bag. Even if you throw your luggage into the bag sloppily without organizing it, it is less likely to get lost inside the bag.

Two-way Roll Top Structure

The Chips Bag has a roll top that can be fastened in two different ways.

It can be extended upwards when hiking overnight in a tent, or stopped at the bottom to keep it from interfering with your helmet when you want to be nimble on your bike; it will gently accompany you the way you play.

Convenient mesh pockets and drawcords

Mesh pockets on the sides and back allow you to keep bottles and other small items you want to use during your activities for quick access.

The drawcords on the side panels can be used to hold a stock, umbrella, or jacket to keep your hands freE

Large pockets on shoulder harnesses

There are larger pockets on both front shoulder harnesses. This is a detail unique to Welldone, which also makes messenger bags, but you can actually put your phone in them, or put in action foods or other small items.
