Breadwinner Cycles is a
Portland born and bred handmade bike for people who love to ride their bikes every day.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of BREADWINNER being a brand. The brand started by Tony and Ira has steadily grown to become Portland's best, if not the West Coast's best frame workshop, and has now done over 1,000 custom orders to date. With over 20 years of experience designing and building custom frames, award-winning frame builder Tony Pereira creates every custom handmade frame with the right blend of craftsmanship, quality, beauty, and the joy and freedom that comes with riding. The right blend of craftsmanship, quality, beauty, and the joy and freedom you feel when you ride.
Each model frame is custom built using old-fashioned frame-building techniques with a finely tuned geometry sheet for each frame, based on custom choices of Columbus tubing in the right places and according to the rider's body type and preferences. Because the frames are custom sized for each customer, they can be repaired and ridden as much as possible in the event of an emergency so that they can stay with you forever. This is the best part of steel frames and the secret of why BREADWINNER, which continues to embody steel is real, is loved by many cyclists across the United States.
Why go Breadwinner?
Living in Portland, one of the most successful bicycle cities in the world, has always influenced Breadwinner, from its concept to its manufacturing techniques. The bikes traverse the city's massive bridges, down alleys, over the West Hills, through Forest Park, and over the best rural gravel roads, many of which exist in the distant Pacific Northwest, over singletrack and spectacular asphalt. The bicycles Breadwinner builds are born and bred in these prime situations.
Portland has long been a city that fosters artisans and small businesses. Team Breadwinner is truly proud to be a part of the Portland bicycle industry, which has grown and developed along with the development and growth of Portland's bicycle industry, including these roots, and produces quality work and quality American-made products, all frames Team Breadwinner is proud to be a part of the Portland bicycle industry, which has grown and developed along with the development and growth of the Portland bicycle industry, including the development and growth of their roots.

❷Design and Fit
We will be happy to help you clarify your vision for a bicycle that will be manufactured just for you. Tell us about your current bike fit, your past bikes, and your riding style. Once you have decided on a model and design, we will be happy to help you choose components and paint schemes that fit your budget and your dreams.
❸Building
Once the design and details are confirmed, you will receive an invoice for payment. Upon receipt of payment, we will order the parts. The creative energy from the design phase will then be used to handcraft the frame in our workshop. The frames are mitred, welded, shaped, and finished to perfection. Then they are ready for painting.
❹Assembly and Delivery
Once your bike shines with a new coat of paint, we painstakingly assemble it with parts we know well, using the right tools and techniques for each component. Properly assembling a bicycle is as important to us as its construction. Our goal is to provide you with a well-tuned, finished bicycle. We then carefully package the bicycle and deliver it to you. You are also welcome to pick it up in Portland. If you have time, we would enjoy going out for a ride with you!
