Life in Portland, one of the world's most successful cycling cities, has constantly influenced everything from Breadwinner's concepts to our manufacturing techniques. We ride across the city's massive bridges, down its alleyways, over the West Hills, through Forest Park, and out onto the countless spectacular rural gravel roads, singletrack, and magnificent asphalt stretches found throughout the Pacific Northwest. The bicycles that Breadwinner builds are born and raised in these very environments.

Portland has long been a city that fosters artisans and small businesses. Embracing these roots—including their own—Team Breadwinner takes sincere pride in being part of the Portland bicycle industry, which has grown alongside the development of the city's cycling scene and continues to produce high-quality jobs and excellent American-made products. Every frame and bicycle is manufactured daily at our own workshop in Portland, Oregon.

❷Design and Fit

We would be happy to help you clarify your vision for a bicycle built just for you. Please tell us about your current bike fit, your past bicycles, and your riding style. Receiving your fitting questionnaire will begin the dialogue, and once the model and design are decided, we will be happy to help you choose components and paint that align with your budget and your dreams.

❸Building

Once the design and details are confirmed, you will receive an invoice for payment. As soon as payment is received, we will order the parts. From there, we channel the creative energy from the design phase into crafting your frame by hand in our workshop. The frame is mitered, welded, shaped, and finished to perfection. It is then ready for paint.

❹Assembly and Delivery

Once your bike is shining with its new paint, we carefully assemble it using the proper tools and techniques, and components we know well. Proper assembly is just as important to us as the build itself. Our goal is to provide you with a fully tuned, finished bicycle. We will then carefully pack and deliver it to your door. You are also welcome to pick it up in Portland—if you have the time, we’d love to head out for a ride together!
