【BIKE of the WEEK】WILDE / Rambler SL

The WILDE Rambler SL, which I also ride.
I am very grateful that its community of riders is gradually growing.

With the XS size added to the lineup starting with this year's arrivals, even women around 155cm tall can now ride it!! It’s just like Jeff to develop a size that even women can ride; I was truly impressed.

This time, I built this bike at the request of the niece of a customer I am currently working with, who wanted to go on a ride with them.

Keep the parts light

Since she often goes out on rides by taking the train or loading the bike into a car, I chose the lightest parts possible so that it would be easy for her to handle.

For the stem and seatpost, I used THOMSON.
For the rims, I went with VELOCITY / Blunt SS, which are known for being lightweight and providing a nimble ride.

That said, to ensure she can ride with confidence, I made sure the overall parts configuration balanced lightness with durability.

Double chainring for any road

When choosing the main components, I am often asked, "Which is better, a double or single front chainring?"

The one thing that can be said for any tool is that it comes down to whether it is easy for that person to use. So, if you're unsure, let's talk about it first. Let's figure out the best choice together!

In this owner's case, since she mainly rides on paved roads but might hit some gravel, and doesn't have a riding style that involves pushing heavy gears, I went with a front double setup with a wide gear range so she can be ready for any road.

The combination is 46x30T for the front chainrings and an 11-34T rear sprocket.

Enjoy!

Apparently, she went for a ride around the Gujo area with them right after receiving the bike!
I was a little worried since Gujo has some climbs, but I'm glad to hear that thanks to the gear ratio setup, she was able to keep up without any issues!

I hope she continues to see and experience many new sights with this bike!
