The weather has become perfect for going out on a bike, hasn't it?
I recently changed the handlebars on my Preamble from drop bars to flat bars, so I'm feeling great! (At this time of year, I can't stop sneezing during rides... This photo was taken right when my nose was feeling ticklish...)
The "MINIMALIGHT Ordinary Pants," which are perfect for this peak riding season, are back in stock!
They’ve become a staple pair of pants for me that I wear often on long-distance rides.
Honestly, I didn't expect that much before I bought them, but they are more comfortable than I ever imagined.
What kind of brand is MINIMALIGHT?

MINIMALIGHT is an outdoor brand from Japan that pursues lightness and essential functional beauty.
They offer lightweight, simple items suited for active scenes like mountain climbing and travel, and are characterized by their ability to provide both ease of use and durability while stripping away anything unnecessary.
Their representative works include the minimalist Play Wallet, the Partition Sack, and the Ordinary Pac. Their style, which is easy to use in both urban and natural settings, is loved by many outdoor fans.
By the way, the brand representative, Mr. Hajichi, just built up a Doppo Ronin the other day!
So, I’m introducing these pants from that brand, but what are they actually like to use...!
Here's what's great about the Ordinary Pants #1:
"You don't need a leg band to keep them from rubbing against the chain"

When wearing wider pants, you can just tuck them into your socks or roll them up, but honestly, I don't like doing that because of how it looks, and it leaves my ankles cold...
Also, I don't really like the feeling of having a leg band wrapped around one leg the whole time; does anyone else feel the same way?
The Ordinary Pants are tapered toward the hem and get narrower, making it hard for them to rub against the chain.
I don't want to use any extra gear if I don't have to.
I want to enjoy rides just as I am, in a natural state.
That’s what makes these pants so good—they fulfill that selfish wish!
Here's what's great about the Ordinary Pants #2:
"A beautiful silhouette with an exquisite balance"

But wait, if the hem doesn't interfere with the chain, does that mean
they have a tight silhouette?
I'm a bit resistant to pants that accentuate my body line...
I'm sure many of you think that, right...??
I’m not a fan of slim-fitting pants either.
And I’m also not a fan of things that look like obviously outdoor gear...
However, these Ordinary Pants look slim, but
when you wear them, they don't feel slim. (It's a contradiction)
They are loose and roomy around the thighs, but they get gradually narrower toward the ankles. I think that's why they create such a beautiful silhouette while still being easy to move in.
I think they're magical pants that make you look good just by wearing them, and that's my favorite point about them!
Here's what's great about the Ordinary Pants #3:
"You can adjust the waist in one action"

By pushing the button in the center forward, the string loosens easily. To tighten, you just pull the string. So, you can adjust it easily even with gloved hands.
This is a huge, huge help when you're in a hurry! Haha
Here's what's great about the Ordinary Pants #4:
"Pockets that don't get in the way even when holding things, and nothing falls out"

The front pockets are large and deep, making it easy to take out your smartphone, and they are designed so that they don't bother you at all during a ride—sometimes I even worry if I actually put anything in my pockets!

In the zippered pocket, I keep things I don't use often, like keys or a coin purse, and I have the peace of mind that they will never fall out.
When I wear these pants, I don't even need a waist pouch because they hold quite a bit of stuff, so I can head out feeling light!
