One of the charms of a bicycle is that it can be used for both the mundane and the extraordinary.
Taking the bicycle you use for your daily commute to go and enjoy something extraordinary—I think that’s incredibly important.
Sometimes I think that all you really need is one bicycle, and perhaps we are all on a journey to find that one perfect bike.
However, once you straddle a bike and step into the world of activities, such thoughts tend to vanish.
“I can’t get there on that bike,” or “I want to see the scenery that lies ahead.”
Driven by these thoughts, yet another mountain bike rider was born.
The owner, who usually spends his time riding gravel bikes through countless roads and enjoying the bicycle as a plaything, chose to add a mountain bike to his collection. Drawn even more strongly into the world of dirt he first encountered on his gravel bike, and wanting to enjoy a more aggressive style of the extraordinary, he ordered the Goodwater trail bike proposed by BREADWINNER CYCLES.

The day of the handover was marked by a soft, misty rain. However, the drizzle wasn’t heavy at all; if anything, it washed the dust from the air, making the scenery—and this new bicycle—look even more vivid before our eyes.
To grip tight slopes, tree roots, and rock faces to the fullest, the frame offers enough clearance to accommodate 27.5 x 3.0 semi-fat tires. For fast-paced rides on smooth off-road trails, it can even handle up to 29 x 2.3 tires.

As it happens, this is the owner's first mountain bike. There was a fair bit of back-and-forth before we arrived at this point; the only thing he was sure about from the start was that he wanted a hardtail.

Once his mind was made up, things clicked into place quickly. He chose the SLX groupset for its perfect balance of functionality and price, and for the bearing components, he went with CHRIS KING—a brand that feels even better the more you ride it, and which teaches you the value of maintenance and the importance of taking good care of your gear.
We highlighted the build with scattered touches of Matte Turquoise, made possible by CHRIS KING’s wide color options. Of course, we also made sure not to overlook the PEATY’S tubeless valves.
The owner is actually someone in the same industry. Since our days off often align, we’ve already gone out to enjoy the mountains together a few times. His white bike really stands out in the forest, and the way he glides through the trails is as smooth as running water.

I believe the stable, composed ride comes from the slightly longer rear triangle design.
Completely captivated by the dirt, the owner is getting smoother and faster every time we ride together. Thanks to the confidence this bike instills in him, I suspect he can see his lines clearly now. I think I'll let him lead the way on our next ride.

Have a Good Ride.
