Wide and tough new standard rim Aero / Aero is now available!
Aero / Aero is a disc brake-specific rim for a wide range of road bikes, gravel bikes, commuter bikes, and even tandem bikes. It is based on the Aileron, a favorite of many riders in the Velocity lineup, which features an oval profile for aero performance and strength.
Developed in partnership with Arizona-based Profile Precision Extrusions, an advanced aluminum molding company, the special Aluminum 6069 material used for Velocity is stronger than conventional materials and lighter in weight despite its wide rim design. The special Aluminum 6069 material for Velocity is stronger than conventional materials and offers higher durability against dents and damage that can accumulate, while maintaining light weight despite the wide rim design.
Compared to the Aileron, the 23mm wider rim can accommodate tires from 28mm to 55mm wide, increasing the contact surface between the tire and the road surface when set at low pressure for better traction performance in a wide variety of road conditions.
It is also designed to accommodate nipple washers, allowing the user to build wheels that require greater strength and durability for hard riding.
In 1991, Velocity introduced its first aluminum rim, the Aero, and continued to produce many more models. This model was developed as a version using a new aluminum material, reflecting all the design techniques and data developed there, and was named after its origin, "Aero," as a tribute to its own history.

Regarding the delivery of complete bikes
- Please note that a separate shipping fee of 9,900 yen (tax included) will be charged for shipping complete bikes. (However, an additional fee will be charged for delivery to Okinawa and remote islands.)
- After receiving your order, we will do a final check and ship complete bikes, but it may take 1-2 weeks. Please understand.
- We will send the bike with some parts removed for packing. We strongly recommend that you have your bicycle assembled at your nearest bicycle store.

Regarding the delivery of frame sets
- Nationwide flat-rate shipping: 5,500 yen (tax included) (However, an additional fee will be charged for delivery to Okinawa and remote islands.)
