PBJ - Performance Basket Jammer All Terrain
PBJ stands for "Performance Basket Jammer," and it reminds us a lot of our favorite PB&J sandwich. It may look simple, but you can always count on it to power you through the day. It is truly a bike that is like a reliable partner. Even if you don't have a plan, you can get anywhere on this thing.
After building several of his own touring and bikepacking bikes, Adam realized that the best bikes are the ones that are fun to ride all day long, which led him to the PBJ design. While the freedom to choose any tire size is appealing, this bike is for people who won't throw off pushing a slightly larger tire all day long. Because the reward for all that hard work is an accomplishment-filled downhill ride.
The bike can be set up for geared or singlespeed thanks to the sliding dropouts, and it can accommodate rigid to 100-120mm travel suspension for a variety of fun setups. Handling is familiar and playful enough to take you anywhere. But don't forget your PB&J sandwich.
[DESIGN PHILOSOPHY]
PBJ is the result of many attempts to create the "perfect" touring bike. Of course, there is no such thing as the perfect bike, but this bike is still pretty well finished in almost every way.
Equipped with a rigid fork and 2.4-2.6" wide tires, it can be enjoyed as a very capable and comfortable bikepacking or touring bike. Remove the bags and it is perfect for speedy trails or city cruising. Combine it with a suspension fork and dropper post to make it a highly rideable XC mountain bike, or use it in a variety of different setups depending on the assembly.
Adjustable sliding dropouts allow for single speed and geared conversions or pursuit of chainstay lengths to suit your preferred riding style.
The design and design follows modern MTB geometry, with a slightly longer front center and shorter stem, with the intention of maintaining a playful and quick handling performance. PBJ is a bike for fun.

[FIT GUIDE].
The PBJ is designed to closely resemble a standard mountain bike fit. The "base setup" for this bike assumes the use of 29x2.6" tires, a 35-50mm long stem, and a comfortable swept-back handlebar such as SKLAR BIKES' PBJ handlebar. Each size also takes into account a range of saddle heights, but of course, some riders size down for more agile handling or up for stability in a mountain bike fit.
Based on the saddle heights assumed for each size of PBJ, please measure the saddle height of your current bike and check the size of your frame.
Small | 620 - 660 mm |
Medium | 650 - 700 mm |
Large | 690 - 740 mm |
X-Large | 790 - 830 mm |
Measured from the center of the BB to the top of the center of the saddle.
