Circles / SimWorks super-sub and talented designer Minami Chaya has created a zine on First Aid based on her experience of being injured during a bikepacking ride in the US.

There are various patterns and severities of injuries and problems that occur when riding a bicycle, but I think that we have to leave the advanced ones to the experts, and the minor ones that are not serious enough to change the itinerary, we have to deal with them by ourselves. I am wondering if this very trauma I experienced was the kind of bicycle play injury that seems to happen often and can be dealt with if you know what you are doing.
After the series of events, I started to think that I could share with you all about the healing process of the wound, how to get to a hospital in the US, the importance of insurance and procedures, what to look out for when going for a ride by reflecting on the injury, and the First Aid kit I actually used, and I created this zine!
I also learned a lot about the basics of modern trauma care, so I've compiled as much as I can share with you from my own experience.

Complete Bike Shipping within Japan
- A shipping fee of ¥9,900 (tax included) applies to complete bikes. Additional charges may apply for Okinawa and remote islands.
- After purchase, we perform a final inspection before shipping. Please allow 1–2 weeks in some cases.
- For packing, some parts may be removed. We strongly recommend having the bike reassembled and checked by your local bicycle shop before riding.
- We will contact you by email with delivery details.
- Products are also sold in-store, so availability may change before the order is finalized.
Frameset Shipping within Japan
- Flat-rate shipping within Japan: ¥5,500 (tax included). Additional charges may apply for Okinawa and remote islands.
- Shipping rates for OMNIUM framesets and complete bikes differ.
- We will contact you by email with delivery details.
- Facing and tapping preparation for framesets purchased from Circles is available at no additional charge. Details will be provided after purchase.
- Headset and bottom bracket installation are also available for an additional labor fee. Please contact us if required.
Custom & Stock Wheel Shipping within Japan
- A shipping fee of ¥2,000 (tax included) applies. Additional charges may apply for Okinawa and remote islands.
- Stock wheels undergo a final inspection by a mechanic before shipping. Please allow approximately 3 business days for dispatch.
