ASTRAL CYCLING 's limited-edition Stealth Grey series utilizes ceramic coating technology from the American brand Cerakote. This high-performance coating offers excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance, is hard, crack-resistant, and resistant to abrasion and other external damage, making it widely known as a MIL-SPEC (military standard) coating.
The matte-finished rims with ceramic coating are highly durable even under harsh conditions, such as hard off-road driving, allowing you to build wheels that can withstand long-term use.
The asymmetrical offset design improves spoke tension balance by up to 30%, resulting in a stiffer, more durable, and more stable wheelset. The 25mm internal rim width accommodates tires from 35mm to 67mm (1.35" to 2.6").
The name "Outback" refers to the vast unexplored land of Australia, symbolizing the spirit of adventure and the challenge of exploring uncharted territory. Its excellent reliability and stability have earned it high praise from handmade bike builders and many gravel riders.
[FEATURE]
All ASTRAL CYCLING rims are designed to maximize tubeless compatibility. They feature a deep groove called the "Drop Channel" in the center of the rim, which allows for smooth tubeless tire installation. They also feature the "Tubeless Easy" system, which precisely adjusts the diameter of the bead seat where the tire contacts the rim, allowing for easy and safe tire installation and removal. This system also reduces the risk of damaging the bead. Furthermore, the bead can be easily raised with a floor pump, making it easy to change tires at home in your garage, depending on the ride you're heading for.
