Come to think of it, I’ve been repeating the same things over and over.
Failures and successes alike.
Going back and forth to the same places, having the same conversations, knocking back the same booze.
Talking nonsense with the same friends, eating the same breakfast.
SF is the place I always head to first on my US tours.
It may get a bit crowded, but it’s way easier to get into than LA,
and I’ve convinced myself that the people here are much better than in LA.
And, as always, the people I go to see are right there where they’ve always been.
Every day, we live our lives repeating the same things.
FREIGHT BAGGAGE
I’ve been working with Travis for quite a long time.
He keeps making bags for us while continuously making small modifications.
It would be even better if he cut back on the booze a little.
But he’s a guy I really love.
CHUEY BRAND
Everybody loves Chuey.
There isn’t a cyclist in SF who doesn’t like Chuey.
I’ve been working with him for a long time, too.
Regardless, I really wanted to see him this time. No particular reason.
And these are the ladies who took such good care of me this time around.
And then, more encounters.
A filmmaker and a lady.
The days fly by in the blink of an eye.
But I have a real sense that I’m steadily moving forward.
I’ve realized that it’s only when people meet people that things truly begin to happen.
Trends are born because people seek out such human interactions.
There are some who try to create trends just to make money,
but it’s not such a simple era anymore.
San Francisco is a city where you can truly feel that.
Well then, I’m off to the next city.
