Hi, I'm Baki, and my helmet collection has been growing like crazy lately!
Before I knew it, I had three.
But I actually use them all for different things, so it's fine!
At least, that's what I keep telling myself...

So, today's topic is helmets.
A little while ago I wrote a blog post on how to choose a helmet.
In it, I gave a rough overview of the types, features and technologies, and sizing, to help you narrow down what suits you best.
This time I wanted to dig deeper into one specific brand, so here's this post!
"POC," with a POPUP coming at the end of this month!

A protection brand from Sweden whose rounded designs and light weight have kept it hugely popular from its debut right up to today!
They actually have quite a lot of models. I've been through a phase of thinking, "So which one is actually best?!" myself.
But a big lineup also means lots of choice. Which one is the perfect fit for you?
Let's find out together!
OMNE
As your first POC

I think of the OMNE as the gateway to POC!
It's the model I started with, too.
- Relatively affordable.
- A wide range of options.
- And above all, it fits a lot of people!
The OMNE WF models fit a really wide range of people.

This might be the widest fit of all POC's helmets?
It uses a lightweight thread-like liner, so it conforms well even to wider head shapes. That's actually a by-product of saving weight!
It's a model where the Mips and liner were rethought to save weight. Rather than a helmet loaded with safety features, it's an option for riders who want lightness. And that makes it a savior for people with wider heads, too.
VENTRAL
POC's lightweight, well-ventilated model!

A lot of people are surprised by how light this model is when they pick it up. Even as new models keep coming out one after another, there's a reason it's still so popular.
It's simple: it's light and cool!
Air flows through vents that run all the way to the back, and that outflowing air carries the heat away. On top of that it has MIPS, and it's still light.
Very easy to understand. That's the secret to its long run as a best-seller!

Equipped with Mips. Also equipped with vents for comfortable airflow.
And yet it's light. A model packed with everything that makes a VENTRAL a VENTRAL.
It's slimmer than the OMNE, so depending on the fit,
going up one size might be a good idea.
CYTAL
The helmet POC wanted to make right now
People often say the Ventral is lighter. And looking at weight alone, that's true.
But the CYTAL isn't a helmet that chases lightness alone!

It's a model that brings together, at a high level, POC's current thinking on the balance of
- cooling performance
- aerodynamic performance
- safety performance!
Rather than shaving off 10g,
being a bit cooler on a hot day,
feeling secure on descents,
not getting tired even after wearing it for hours:
those little things add up to a more comfortable ride,
and ultimately to safety.

The CYTAL is a model that sweats exactly those invisible details!
Also, and this is very much my personal opinion, it looks cool.
It packs in aerodynamics, light weight and heat release, yet it still looks sleek.
Maybe it's the functional beauty that comes from packing all that in.
My particular favorite is the Cytal Lite.
Please come check it out in the shop. So cool~.
AMIDAL
Value beyond lightness

To be honest, the AMIDAL isn't a particularly light model.
It's not as wide as the OMNE, not as light as the VENTRAL, and not a feature-packed flagship like the CYTAL.
So when I was just looking at the specs, I frankly couldn't figure out where it fit in. Ha!
It was only after actually wearing it that I thought, "This is great!" The AMIDAL's strengths are comfort and silhouette.
POC helmets are known for a deep, reassuring fit and a cute, rounded shape.

That's part of their charm, but some people mind looking a bit like a mushroom.
The AMIDAL, on the other hand, has a clean silhouette.
It's less likely to make you look like a mushroom and sits naturally on your head!
And what really catches the eye are the large ducts.
Ventilation is a POC specialty, but these vents were developed to release heat even more efficiently!
They really prove their worth on hot afternoons (it's been way too hot lately!) and on long rides.

I actually use one myself, and it feels great.
The heat just drains away. Since a helmet is the first thing to take the sun, ducts that let heat escape make a big difference.
If you want comfort and a nice silhouette, the AMIDAL is my top pick!
Each model has its own strengths.

POC helmets combine comfort and safety.
Why not find the model from each series that suits you,
and head out on a ride together!
That's POC, the brand I've been introducing here.
This weekend (June 27–28, 2026), we're holding a POPUP at Circles Nagoya!
It's a rare chance to see and try on helmets, from the new AMIDAL
to ones I haven't been able to cover here!

Of course, POC helmets are also available online.
Be sure to check out POC in the Circles shops and online!
See you next time!
