Further, and to different scenery.
When I ride a bike, the word "more" always tags along with me.

My style of riding is mainly long-distance.
In other words, I'm a bit of a pervert. A closet case.
Well, I am a guy, after all.
Lately, what I've been wanting to do is head out after work and ride all night to Hakusan-yu in Kyoto. It’s about 150km.
Even then, once I reach the goal, I’m sure I’ll just want to ride "more."

And the bike I pictured was a rather luxurious one: something that moves fast but still offers a comfortable ride.
WILDE BICYCLE / Rambler SL
When I was looking for a bike that could keep up with my "more," I found the WILDE BICYCLE / Rambler SL.

The moment I rode it, I thought, "It moves so honestly!!"
The feeling of the power I put in being transferred directly through the pedals to the wheels was something else.
I felt that this bike would answer my need for "more."
Initial Assembly
At the time, I was crazy about gravel, so I went with a gravel-specific parts assembly!

| Frame | WILDE BICYCLE Rambler SL Frame Set – Copper Metallic |
| Headset | CHRIS KING NoThreadSet 1-1/8″ Matte Slate (Discontinued Color) |
| Stem | SIMWORKS Rhonda 80mm |
| Handle | SIMWORKS Misirlou Bar |
| Tire | CONTINENTAL Terra Hardpack |
| Rim | SIMWORKS Standalone 001 |
| Hub | SHIMANO 105 Hub |
| Main Group | SHIMANO GRX |
| Saddle | ERGON SR Allroad Core Comp Men |

I wanted to use 50c tires, the maximum clearance, so I used the CONTINENTAL Terra Hardpack.
Thanks to the distinctive scale-like center pattern,
the side knobs grip the ground firmly even off-road.
I can dive into gravel with confidence.

For wheels, I used the incredibly durable SIMWORKS Standalone 001.
They handled harsh gravel and touring without a hitch.

Current Assembly
I recently went on a tour in Hokkaido, so I’ve set it up accordingly.

| Frame | WILDE BICYCLE Rambler SL Frame Set – Copper Metallic |
| Headset | CHRIS KING NoThreadSet 1-1/8″ Matte Slate (Discontinued Color) |
| Stem | WCS C220 84D STEM |
| Handle | SIMWORKS Misirlou Bar |
| Tire | TERAVAIL Rampart Light & Supple 700 x38c |
| Rim | HED Belgium R Disc Rim |
| Hub | CHRIS KING R45D |
| Main Group | SHIMANO GRX |
| Saddle | ERGON SR Allroad Core Comp Men |

I swapped to the RITCHEY WCS C220 84D stem and went 10mm longer to make it easier to maintain a forward-leaning position.
Since I’m leaning forward more than before, it’s easier to maintain speed, making for a setup suited for touring.

I splurged on the drivetrain to make it light and fast!
I went with a combination of CHRIS KING R45D x HED Belgium R Disc Rim and used TERAVAIL Rampart Light & Supple 700 x 38c tires.
Thanks to that, I was able to increase my cruising speed and comfortably ride across the lands of Hokkaido.
This might be the best upgrade I made.

I have a few more parts to customize, but I’ll introduce those in the next blog!
Finally

Daa-chan also shared this at the end of his blog.
As you keep customizing to suit your own way of playing, you realize that the Supertramp is no longer just a bike, but a "partner that expands the horizons of your fun."
From Daa-chan's My WILDE blog
I’ve kept customizing, changing tires and adjusting stem length to match my rides.
The Rambler SL has truly become my partner, and we’ve been on many journeys together.

The fact that you can expand the range of your fun through customization just shows how deep of a bike it is.
WILDE has the openness to accept anyone, and it responds to various requests.
It is the perfect bike for those who have a feeling of "more."
Why not make WILDE your partner?
