【BIKE of the WEEK】SIMWORKS Doppo ATB

In this post, I’m introducing the bike belonging to Kei-san, owner of Okazaki Micro Hotel ANGLE, who took great care of us during our [Golden Week BIKE to CAMP] ~Shibata Brewery~.

Okazaki Micro Hotel ANGLE is a hotel located about a 15-minute walk from the north exit of Meitetsu Higashi Okazaki Station.
It is a "micro-hotel that captures the city of Okazaki through our own 'angle'," born from the renovation of what was once the oldest camera shop in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture.

They operate under the banner of "Living Tourism," focusing on shining a light on and sharing the precious, everyday life of the city. The lobby doubles as a café, making it local-friendly and open not just to hotel guests, but to anyone passing by. It seems they operate with various styles from morning through night, so if you go to Okazaki, please stop by ANGLE.

SIMWORKS Doppo ATB

ATB stands for All Terrain Bike, meaning it is capable of handling any surface.

Just as the name suggests, it can handle any road, making it truly a "do-it-all" machine.
There is no bike I would recommend more to someone just starting out!
You can load up racks for camping tours, or swap to knobby tires for gravel.
It’s a bike that really broadens the range of fun you can have on two wheels.

To take full advantage of the "All Terrain" benefits of the Doppo ATB, he chose TERAVAIL Rampart / 700x42 tires.
The Rampart provides a smooth ride and excellent vibration absorption, which is why I’m a fan and use them myself.
Above all, the tire volume makes the ride incredibly comfortable, allowing them to perform beautifully on both on-road and off-road surfaces.
With tires this size, you can challenge unexpected, attractive gravel paths without any hesitation.

Components are microSHIFT Advent X

The main drivetrain is equipped with microSHIFT / Advent X!! While 11 or 12-speed setups are the current standard, this isn't about chasing speed or specs; it’s about blurring the line—in a good way—between everyday commuting and extraordinary weekend touring.

Now, all that’s left is to enjoy.
