The ATB of my dreams
ATBs are great, aren't they?
"ATB" stands for All-Terrain Bike, and just as the name suggests, they can ride absolutely anywhere.
While the definition of an ATB is quite vague, a wild bike that looks good with wide handlebars and fat tires, and seems like it would take you anywhere from rain-drenched city streets to overgrown trails, truly deserves the name ATB.
The BASSI Hog’s Back is exactly that kind of bike.

The styling of 26-inch wheels fitted with mountain bike-style thick tires brings to mind the old-school MTBs from before the advent of suspension. I think it would be incredibly fun to take a bike like this out and roll around on dirt and trails until you’re covered in mud.
It’s great to hit the trails light and fast with just your body and a mountain bike, but the Hog’s Back is an all-terrain bike—it also harbors potential as a touring bike.
There are triple mounts on the top of the down tube, and bottle cage mounts on the bottom. The fork also has triple side mounts, leaving it wide open for bikepacking.
The Hog’s Back doesn’t feature the latest materials or specs. But as an ATB, it offers an immense amount of freedom and is arguably one of the most enjoyable bikes you could have.
Rather than rejecting the cutting edge, it feels like it’s saying, "Hey, there's another way to have fun too."
I’d love to have an ATB like this, too.
