People often tell me, "You look like you're athletic" or "You look like you're a fast runner," but neither I nor the people who know me well would say that's "true."
I'm below average at sprinting, my movements in ball sports are disjointed, and I often display a level of clumsiness that would rival any "comedian bad at sports." Haha
I like exercising, but I’ve made it this far without ever finding a sport I’m actually "good at."
Even though I feel the desire to get better every time, I don’t think I’ve yet encountered that feeling where I could proudly call something my "specialty."
(Besides, what does it even mean to be "good at" something, anyway?)
People who are good at sports are just so cool, aren't they?
That’s exactly why I want to have something I can call my "specialty," too.

Thinking about things like that, I discovered cycling, and last summer, I got a WILDE Supertramp to compete in the OMM BIKE.
Right now, I’m searching for the answer to "what does it mean to be good at something?" with this bike.
Why I chose the Supertramp

I wanted to try riding a bike through unpaved roads and rocky forest descents—those "a little intimidating" areas.
It wasn’t about whether I could ride fast, but rather if I could even make it. Was it fun?
Ultimately, I wanted to test if I even enjoy that kind of activity.

Even if I tried it and felt, "Nope, this is impossible" or "This isn't fun," the Supertramp offers plenty of other ways to play.
You can use it for camp rides, and it looks great just cruising slowly around town. That sense of freedom—like a blank canvas—was a huge reason why I chose this frame.
What I learned from continuing to ride

My first descent was basically spent with the brakes fully locked. Haha
I couldn't read the lines, I kept hitting rocks and having to put my feet down, and I fell on every single gravel descent.

But strangely enough, I never reached a point where I wanted to quit.
Instead, I found myself wanting to try little things, like "Maybe I should lower the saddle a bit more" or "What if I drop the tire pressure a little?"
It feels like my failures are turning into "observation notes."
From there, a desire to keep going, even with things I'm "not good at," has started to grow.
(Of course, the moment I fall, my spirits sink incredibly low and I say, "I never want to come back here again." But looking back, it ends up being a fun memory.)

It's scary, but I want to try it again. I feel like my body reacted a little bit better than it did yesterday.
After repeating that over and over, I might find myself getting closer to being "good" at it without even realizing it.
Maybe I'm just in that middle stage right now.
I think the Supertramp is a bike for people who want to grow slowly over time, rather than for those who are already "experts."
It doesn't demand results immediately, and it’s happy to accommodate you even if your moods or the way you want to play change. That depth of character might be the most attractive thing about this bike.
The intro went on for a bit, but!
Using my favorite bike, the Supertramp, I’ve built a concept bike in the new "Dirt Champagne" color.
A bike that expands your horizons at your own pace.

This color, just like the name suggests, has a refined champagne shimmer while also having a subdued, rugged look, almost as if it’s coated in a light layer of trail dust.
I think it’s the perfect color for a bike meant to "head out into the wild." Its charm also lies in how it changes its expression depending on the light and the setting, giving it a presence that makes you stop and stare even when it’s just parked!

Starting with this version, the head tube is now 1-1/8″, and it features a rear end compatible with SRAM’s UDH. Otherwise, the specs are exactly the same as the previous iteration.
SIMWORKS RUMBLE BAR: Can handle even large front bags

A wide, well-flared grip area. It might feel a bit bulky in the city, but I feel like the sense of security these bars offer really shines when you hit rough terrain like gravel or forest roads. Another perk of the RUMBLE BAR is that the cockpit doesn't feel cramped, even when you’ve loaded it up with a large bag for a trip.

For a bike that caters to so many different styles of riding like the Supertramp, I feel like a "slightly idiosyncratic but reliable handlebar" like this is a great match.
New colors: Standalone 001 & TERAVAIL Ehline

For the wheels, we’ve combined the newly released SIMWORKS Standalone 001 rims in Bronze with VELOCITY Mountain Disc Boost hubs in Oil Slick.

This combination of a unique bronze color and oil slick hubs changes its look depending on the angle of the light, and it’s incredibly charming the way it seems to float, especially amidst dappled sunlight on a forest road or in the soft glow of dusk.
It really fires up my imagination about what kind of roads I want to ride.

And, as if to echo those "flickering colors," we’ve selected the SELLE ANATOMICA H1 for the saddle.
It pairs well with the rims and adds a grounded presence to the overall calm aesthetic.
With the flexibility for comfortable long-distance riding and the way the leather changes as you use it, this is truly a piece that fits perfectly with the "joy of nurturing" this bike provides.

For tires, we’ve equipped the TERAVAIL Ehline (29×2.5″).
Actually, this was a tire I had been curious about for a while.
At 2.5 inches wide, it’s not too skinny, not too fat. It blends well with the Supertramp’s vibe and has just the right balance.
The Ehline is a fantastic tire that hits the trifecta of low rolling resistance, durability, and light weight.
It’s light and nimble, yet stable on rough surfaces, making its ability to handle everything from gravel races to forest road touring its biggest draw.
Drivetrain: "SRAM × microSHIFT"

For the drivetrain, we went with the SRAM GX Eagle Crank Set (170mm / DUB Boost) with a 32T chainring.
Within the SRAM Eagle series, the GX is a mid-range model that offers an excellent balance of price and performance. The aluminum crank is highly rigid, providing peace of mind for heavy-duty use. It’s a versatile choice that’s perfect for everything from trails to bike packing.

Pairing with that is the MICRO SHIFT Advent X (10s) rear derailleur.
With a front single chainring, it’s easy to maintain, and the 11-48T gear range is perfectly balanced to handle both the need for speed on flat city roads and the need for lighter gears on gravel climbs.
The key point is that it ensures a practical gear range despite being a 10-speed.
In scenarios where "durability" and "ease of repair" are prioritized, like during touring or adventure rides, this might actually be a more reliable and easier-to-manage choice than an 11 or 12-speed.

I believe the bike introduced here will support your desire to grow at your own pace and will help you find new ways to play and make new discoveries.
For those of you who haven't quite seen your own potential yet, the Supertramp is a bike that will stand by your side and help you explore a wide variety of riding styles and paths together.
I would be so happy if, through this bike, you could find your own "specialty" and new joys.

Of course, you can see the Supertramp introduced today in person at our store.
If you're looking for a setup that feels more like a daily driver, or if you prefer the previous Sparkly Green Grey color, we also accept requests for custom builds from the frame up, so please feel free to consult with our staff!
