SimWorks is on a roll with new product releases, and today we’d like to introduce two items that have just landed!
Sycip meets SimWorks J.B. Bar

The J.B. Bar, once produced under the Sycip brand, has made its return as the Sycip meets SimWorks J.B. Bar.

Initially hand-bent by Jeremy, this handlebar was unfortunately discontinued due to various circumstances, but thanks to the dedicated efforts of Nitto, it has been brought back into production.

This bar is a perfect fit for cruiser-style bikes, and the shape feels strangely natural the moment you grab it. It’s hard to explain in words, but I highly encourage you to come by the shop and try holding it for yourself.
When it was discontinued, I truly regretted not buying a pair for myself. It was a handlebar that taught me the hard way that "you don't know what you've got until it's gone." I’m incredibly happy to see it back—in fact, I’m secretly working on a build right now just because I wanted this bar, but more on that another time.

I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a classic klunker, but while it’s great for relaxed dirt riding, I personally wanted to interpret it as an urban cruiser. So, this time, I installed it on Eri-chin’s SURLY Long Haul Trucker, a true masterpiece of a bike.
This is a handlebar that allows for all kinds of creative builds, so I recommend everyone have one in their collection.

SIMWORKS The Homage 26″ – Sand Beige Edition

The second item is the limited-edition Sand Beige version of The Homage, one of SimWorks’ staple tires, now available for the first time in a while.
This color was actually released in a limited run five years ago, but back then it was only available in 700c. This time, it’s making a comeback as a 26-inch exclusive color. Of course, the size is 26×1.95″, just like the regular lineup.

The semi-slick center pattern rolls smoothly, while the side knobs provide just the right amount of grip. It’s a versatile tire pattern that works for paved roads and light gravel alike, making it a great choice for many types of bikes.

While 26-inch tires are, of course, a staple for builds on vintage MTBs, I personally recommend using them on bikes like the BASSI Rachel or Le Montreal. (Note: The official tire clearance for the Le Montreal is 47mm / approx. 1.85″, but I was able to install them with room to spare. / Tested by Shige)
