Following the On The Road Rear Rack that we just introduced the other day, SimWorks has released a front rack sized just right for carrying a bento lunch box—fittingly named the Obento Rack!

Material: CrMo Steel Tube Frame and Al legs
Weight: ave. 635g
Max Load: 2kg
Color: Chrome Plated & Black
*This product is designed as a front bag supporter. Its primary purpose is to act as an auxiliary rack to support the bottom of a bag hanging from the handlebars. If using it alone to carry items, please be mindful of the maximum load capacity.
When it comes to SimWorks front racks, we had the popular Potluck Rack, and this Obento Rack uses that same top plate. It features four legs that provide a secure, customizable base for any bike, allowing for installation on mid-fork braze-ons or fork-end eyelets as needed. You can strap items directly to the bento-sized top plate, or—keeping the 2kg load limit in mind—strap on a WALD basket to make it a great companion for daily use.
And here is the item we want you to use with this rack!

Material: Water-repellent Cotton Canvas
Size: 10.5L / 20cm x 20cm x 26cm
Color: Brushed Brown, Pine Green, Burgundy
Answering SimWorks' request to create a front bag that can be attached to the Potluck and Obento racks with a single touch, we turned to BLIND CHIC, who handcrafts bags in a studio in Budapest, Hungary.

They use a carefully selected waxed canvas sourced from within Europe, and the bag is finished in a size that is very convenient for daily errands, storing valuables like cameras and mobile phones, or carrying water bottles. With clever features like a back panel that maintains the bag's shape even when it's not full, this is a thoughtfully designed front bag.
The attachment method to the rack is quite simple: there are six hooks on the bottom, similar to those used on tent poles, which you simply hook onto the rack's tubing. Since it's easy to remove, it will definitely come in handy as a shopping bag. The waxed canvas, in particular, is water-repellent and, above all, durable, so it performs exceptionally well in everyday situations like grocery shopping.
Whether you already have a Potluck Rack installed or are thinking about adding a new front rack, you should definitely consider pairing it with a Goodluck Bag. Being able to ride without carrying your load on your back makes a world of difference in comfort!
