In just two short years since the brand was established, RawLow Mountain Works has become a mountain gear brand loved by many—from hikers aiming for the summit to cyclists dashing stylishly through city streets.
Keeping true to their initial design impulse of "things we want to use ourselves," their products are developed through repeated field tests by the designers, who are also hikers and cyclists themselves. Each piece is then carefully handcrafted one by one at their own factory in Tokyo.
Thinking back, the first time we introduced their products at our shop was actually at the Paper Sky POP UP STORE held here at Circles last summer, but that already feels like a long time ago.
This time, we are excited to announce a POP UP STORE for an even more powerful RawLow Mountain Works—the first one at Circles in a while!
RawLow Mountain Works POP UP STORE
Place : Circles 3F
Date : 11/18 (Sat) & 19 (Sun)
Time : 18 (Sat) 12:00~20:00 / 19 (Sun) 12:00~19:00
On both Saturday and Sunday, one of the designers, Mr. Taniguchi, will be at the shop to assist customers. This will be a great opportunity to hear deep, insightful stories that only a designer could share, such as the anecdotes behind the products. We also selfishly asked for them to bring as many items as are currently available, so please look forward to that.
And this time, in addition to their regular lineup, you will also be able to see this special item.
SimWorks, which has spent years observing the bike industry, carefully considers what is needed and what is missing from the perspective of the user, and proposes those insights as products and ideas. This SimWorks x RawLow Mountain Works / TabitibiTote is the result of those two keywords: Nagoya and bicycles.
While it is scheduled for release around the end of January next year, it is a limited-production item. Since a final sample with the same specifications as the actual product has been completed, we have decided to accept pre-orders on this occasion. Although there are still some unknowns like the price, this is a product you definitely don't want to miss. You can also check for more details on the SimWorks blog.
Also, Minimalight, which we recently started carrying at Circles, has kindly agreed to join us for this POP UP STORE as well!

Minimalight designs outdoor products based on the concept of "extracting maximum lightness and usability from minimal elements."

Their main product is a card-sized wallet designed with the goal of being the "smallest and most convenient wallet possible," featuring independent compartments for bills, coins, and cards. It is intended to serve as a secondary wallet for times when a large wallet isn't convenient, such as when hiking, playing sports, attending concerts or festivals, going for a walk, or running errands at the supermarket.
They have focused on usability, including an easily accessible external coin pocket, a card slot that holds 1-10 cards, and a loop that makes it easy to hook onto a backpack or grab out of a pocket.
And this time, you will also be able to see the leather version, which is not currently available in stores.
These are crafted one by one with care by a second-generation leather craftsman in Kyoto using cowhide.

Compared to the X-PAC version, they have simplified it further by removing the loop and velcro, and using leather for the card slot and adding a snap button. It is recommended for 5 cards.
I can't wait to see them in person!
Also, as we mentioned before, don't forget that there is another important event happening this weekend.
We are also hosting a tasting event for the sweets made by our own Atchan from Early Birds: Bananabread STAND at earlybirds!

Make sure to come to Circles this weekend and fill your bellies!
