Hello, this is Acchan from Aliba.
Last month was nothing but typhoons and rain, but these days we are finally enjoying consistently crisp, clear autumn weather.
With the year already into November, it’s hard to believe that nearly a year has passed since I started working at Aliba.
In this past year, I’ve been given the chance to take on many new challenges and gain experience, from the restaurant business to cycling and participating in events and festivals. One of these things is baking.
Every Thursday, I work on prep with KAZ, the pastry chef at our sister shop PFM, and that is where I learned how to bake. Eventually, I started thinking, “I’d love to have some treats I made from scratch here at Aliba, too,” and after a lot of trial and error, the banana bread was born.
Banana bread—I’m sure it’s something everyone has had at least once.
With its chewy texture and the irresistible aroma and sweetness of the bananas, it’s one of my favorite baked goods, too. Ever since I provided it as a snack for the Ridin’ Birds ride event hosted by SimWorks in Izu, this banana bread has joined the lineup of treats here at Aliba, and the number of customers enjoying it has been growing little by little. Every time someone tells me it’s delicious, I’m so happy that I could just jump for joy inside.
While I’ve offered various flavors of banana bread, because quantities were limited or they were only available on a weekly rotation, I haven’t been able to keep them stocked in the shop all the time.
So, we decided to create an opportunity for more people to try every single variety! That’s why I’ve decided to host a tasting event called the Banana Bread Stand. I’m inviting all of you to join us.

Date & Time: November 19th (Sun), 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Earlybirds Breakfast
Cost: 500 yen per person (Drinks are cash-on-delivery)
On the day, it will be a buffet style, so you can eat as much as you like of all our varieties.
We will have other treats besides banana bread, too.◎
Since this is a tasting event, we also plan to hold a popularity poll for the snacks on the day. I hope to use it as a reference for the treats we will carry in the future. You are free to come and go as you please during the event hours, so please feel free to stop by.
