Phew—excuse me. Just doing my thing.
Grinding away and panting for breath is fine, but if that’s all bikes were for, we wouldn’t be where we are. Honestly, I prefer to save my heart-pounding, adrenaline-rushing moments for adventures, meeting new people, and falling in love, rather than hustling at the gym.
We tend to carry a lot of gear because we know that it’s always better to be prepared, and it’s a necessary part of sharing things and keeping everyone happy, you know?
Today, I’m going to show you why racks are a must-have for our kind of bikes.

It’s obvious for serious adventure rides, but even on a casual weekend picnic, you end up with a fair amount of stuff. You’re constantly taking layers on and off, and you can’t exactly carry a backpack. It’s so much more pleasant to stay light and free.
Adding a rack opens up your bike to so many more ways to play. It’s not just about the destination—it’s about opening up a whole world of possibilities. Sure, carrying a full hand-drip coffee setup might feel heavy, but I’m not in a hurry, and knowing there’s a reward waiting gives me all the strength I need. Move slowly, chill out, and take your time.

Keep the things you need to grab often around your handlebars or on the front rack. Put heavier items on the rear rack so they don’t throw off your steering and make it hard to ride. It’s even better if you can pack the heaviest items as low as possible—it adds stability, which is perfect.

Racks are handy for daily errands, too. In these times, we try to avoid going out when we can, but I don’t think becoming an expert at clicking “add to cart,” checking daily recommendations, and reading reviews is going to make me a better person. I want to see and verify things with my own eyes when I shop, feel the days getting gradually longer, and check on how the trees are waiting patiently for spring.

On the way home, I stopped by the record shop to pick up an order and say hello. Turns out it was the soundtrack to "A Star Is Born." They slept through the drawn-out story, but insisted the "sound was nice." Do they plan on sleeping to this record? Either way, it fits perfectly on the rack.

Ah, refreshing. It really feels like living. Cars are convenient, and I rely on them too, but this feeling of handling everything with just my own legs and a bike? It’s just right. Not too much, not too little. Sometimes you need a bit of ingenuity, but I think handling that makes you look smart and cool. You don’t want to get buried in excessive convenience and turn lazy, right?
So, that’s why I highly recommend bikes with racks!
