As I introduced on the blog last summer, did you know that Kyle from OUTER SHELL ADVENTURE took on the Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP), a 1,200km self-supported ride across France with a 90-hour time limit?
This event, known as the pinnacle of the Randonneuring world, is an epic ride that tests the limits of sleep deprivation and calorie consumption. Just standing at the starting line is a truly incredible feat, as it requires completing four qualifying events—200km, 300km, 400km, and 600km—within the same year.
Although Kyle unfortunately had to retire at the 63-hour mark in Brest due to unbearable Achilles tendon pain, his challenge was truly inspiring.
The bags Kyle actually used during PBP were made from a material similar to Dyneema called ULTRA 400X.
It is an incredible fabric that is both extremely light and strong, using ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene for the outer layer and featuring a laminate finish for waterproofing. To commemorate his challenge at PBP, we have received a limited quantity of the Rando UL Series bags made with this ULTRA 400X fabric!

These are all useful bags for securing a bit of extra storage around the cockpit, and since they use such a reliable, lightweight, and strong material, they are incredibly attractive for those who love randonneuring or long-distance rides.
The white ULTRA400X fabric was chosen with nighttime visibility in mind, and the slightly reflective texture is another detail Kyle was particular about.
These were produced in limited quantities, so the stock at Circles—and indeed in Japan—is very small. The Stem Caddy, in particular, was not available even in the US, but was made specially for us. If you've been interested, don't miss this chance!
