The more you use them, the more you realize what great bags they are—this is the California-made Outer Shell Adventure.
Whether it’s a handbag or a backpack, a good bag maintains its solid silhouette even when it’s empty. And a bag that holds its shape will keep that form even when packed with gear, allowing you to pack efficiently and beautifully without ruining the balance.

If you look at the finer details—the three-dimensional structure of the corners, the cleanliness of the stitching, and especially the edge finishing—you can feel the dedication poured into them. You can sense founder Kyle’s obsession with craftsmanship and his years of adventure experience embedded in the gear; the more you use these products, the more you can feel his personality through them.

Furthermore, while the exterior fabric is uniform in color, if you turn the bags inside out, you’ll see that different linings are used for each component to ensure the necessary functionality is provided exactly where it’s needed. Conversely, features aren't forced where they aren't needed, showing they are just as committed to keeping things lightweight.

I used to have this image that "Made in USA" meant somewhat rough specifications and a casual approach that didn't mind a little imperfection, but this craftsmanship is so impressive it turns that image 180 degrees around.
Making play-gear with total seriousness and zero compromises. These handmade bike bags truly live up to the saying, "God is in the details."
Outer Shell is finally back in stock, albeit in small quantities.

I’ve styled my own Doppo ATB with the Burgundy color.
Color-matching makes for a great accent on the bike, and the crisp, clean form looks super chic. It depends on your frame color, but this Burgundy is my top recommendation. Seriously, it's a great color.
Since RAL’s BG Loader came in the exact same shade, I decided to assemble them together.
(By the way, the Doppo ATB is also scheduled to be restocked soon.)
Small Batch of Season Colors In Stock
As featured on their official Instagram, we have a very limited stock of the Season Color, "Floral."

Personally, I think this would look incredible on a white or beige frame. We have other items like Frame Bags and Stem Caddies in the same color coming soon. I plan to announce them as they arrive, but since this is such a limited, first-come, first-served drop, if they prove popular, I’ll be sure to put in a request to Kyle for more.
Our regular colors are also gradually being restocked, so we’ll keep you posted via our social media. Once you use them, you’ll definitely experience their quality firsthand.

The Baja California peninsula route is one of Kyle’s favorite riding destinations. And his favorite drink along the way? Water—the bottled kind.
While Topo Chico is delicious, water remains a precious resource, and many struggle to secure clean drinking water. This crisis is a reality both in Flint, Michigan—where Topo Chico is bottled—and throughout Mexico, where it is sold.
To help, Outer Shell is donating a portion of the proceeds from these bottles to WaterIsLife, aiming to promote equitable access to water through the use of these reusable bottles.
The small icon on the bottle features Mount Tamalpais, a local San Francisco trail that Kyle and his friends love.
