When BREADWINNER CYCLES was founded in 2013, the B-Road model was not in the lineup. However, during a Rapha Continental ride (think of a multi-day trip involving grueling rides like the Rapha Prestige), builders Tony and Ira discovered that the real fun lies beyond the pavement—on those unpaved roads you might hesitate to take on a typical road bike.
The B-Road was created based on that very concept. From 28c road tires to 32c CX tires, a touring setup with a dynamo hub and racks, or even a flat-bar build with 43c knobby tires—this is a bike that can truly do it all.
Find Your Road Special Edition
Now, the Find Your Road Special Edition has been announced as a special iteration of the B-Road.
It was unveiled as a show bike at the Chris King Open House this past weekend, featuring parts in the new Matte Turquoise colorway. While the base model remains true to its roots, the frame now offers increased tire clearance and is graced with the newly released ENVE gravel fork, accommodating tires up to 50mm. Additionally, it comes standard with internal brake routing and a thru-axle option, all finished in a special edition paint scheme.
While the brand offers this as a complete bike in the US, we at Circles are specially accepting orders for framesets. Of course, each frame is custom-designed based on the rider's physique and riding style, and handmade by the builders themselves at their workshop in Portland.
