The third round of the Tokai Cyclocross was held at Wild Nature Plaza on a crisp, bone-chillingly cold winter day.
As part of the JCX series, fierce competitors from all over the country gathered in search of victory in the "sand hell."
SimWorks had a booth again this time, and with food for sale from BUCYO COFFEE, we welcomed participants with some local energy.
I also fueled up before the race with coffee, a sandwich, an Ogura Kaiser roll, and curry udon. Please, no comments about me overeating. I just can't resist delicious things.
The SimWorks booth was buzzing, and it seemed many people were particularly interested in Cielo and CHRIS KING, which will see a price increase starting January 1st next year.
The course was different from last year's rain-packed sand; it was dry and loose, making it difficult to ride as it got churned up throughout the race.
Despite those conditions, our CRC riders fought hard, with some clinching promotions and others putting in their best performances ever!
As for my first race as part of CRC, I decided not to force myself to stay on the bike and focused mainly on running. By doing so, I managed to finish 25th out of 41—within the top 60%—and secured a ticket to stay in the division. I received so much encouragement from the sidelines; it made me happy and also gave me a real boost. Thank you all so much!
That concludes this year's cyclocross. We will skip setting up the SimWorks booth at the next round due to our 9th-anniversary party, and we plan to return for the 5th round of the Tokai Cyclocross at 138 Tower Park on Sunday, January 17th.
Feel free to come to us for any cyclocross advice. Circles is here to fully support all cyclocrossers!
