I want to take a trip somewhere far away.
If I’m going to the trouble of going, I want to take my bike along using "Rinko" (bike transport) and ride through streets I’ve never seen before. (For more on Rinko, be sure to read Rinko Meister Makoto’s blog as well👇)
First, you have to take off the tires, put it in a Rinko bag, be careful not to bother others on the train with your heavy bike and extra luggage, and then reassemble it when you arrive...
Isn’t this energy expenditure from arriving at your destination until you can actually start riding just too much? (Especially for women)
Rinko is fun, but to be honest, when I think about all that hassle, I often hesitate to bring my bike on a trip. Even more so if I’m traveling alone.
So, I’ve built a brilliant bike to save us "Rinko refugees"—the "BIKE FRIDAY Pakit"—and I’d like to introduce it to you today!
BIKE FRIDAY Pakit

With its cute looks, the Pakit was developed under the theme of "Mobile Bike" as Bike Friday's most compact and lightest model, designed to let you easily enjoy daily rides even while traveling.
It folds down even smaller than other Bike Friday models, and depending on the build, the lightest version weighs in at a mere 6.8kg.

This is what it looks like folded!
The photo shows the simple "quick fold" method. You can also perform a "deep fold" for an even more compact fit by removing the front wheel and seat post; it can be folded in two different ways depending on your needs.

While other models use 20-inch wheels, the Pakit is the only one to adopt 16-inch wheels, making it the most compact model in the Bike Friday lineup.
The mobility it offers by leveraging that small size and light weight is absolutely outstanding!
It’s a useful tool for everything from daily commutes to getting around while traveling.
Plus, the ride quality is so light that you wouldn't believe it's a folding bike—it’s truly a folding bike made for bicycle lovers!
Keep the Handlebars Simple!

For the handlebars, I chose the simple SIMWORKS Little Nick CrMo.
It’s a simple design, but it fits perfectly in the hands, allowing you to relax and explore the city while on your travels!
Includes a bash guard, so it’s comfortable regardless of what you’re wearing

When traveling, you naturally want to dress up a bit.
Because it comes with a bash guard, you don't have to worry about your pants getting caught, even if they have wide cuffs.
It also uses a Hollowtech crank that doesn't let your power escape when pedaling, so you can really put the power down and start moving smoothly!
This Alfine crank has a sleek, smooth look that I think complements the Pakit perfectly.
Don't you want to head out on many trips with a light and cute companion like this?
The Pakit will accompany you on any journey!
