I recently participated in and set up a booth at the Village Green Ride, an event hosted by the Kyoto bicycle shop Eirin, and was delighted to see so many BEDROCK users there. Everyone was enjoying the event in their own style—wearing their BEDROCKs, pedaling away, and climbing mountains.
Even though September has brought cooler weather, many people were still wearing their Cairn series, but I received many questions about the release date, color options, and materials for the new Mountain Clog, as information had already been released from headquarters. It seems that once you start wearing BEDROCK SANDALS, you get hooked—everyone was clearly looking forward to the release of the Mountain Clog.
Well, the BEDROCK SANDALS Mountain Clog is finally launching today, October 3rd!
Since I explained the product details thoroughly in my previous post about the release date, I will keep this update brief and provide an easy-to-understand overview of the lineup!

Made with oiled nubuck ECCO leather, meticulously tanned using the sustainable Dri-Tan process.
The unlined, single-piece leather upper gently hugs the foot while providing the durability needed for long-term use. It is resistant to water and dirt, and the natural patterns that deepen with use create a one-of-a-kind look.

Features Clarino® microfiber on the surface, which is produced using eco-friendly methods that reduce water usage and CO₂ emissions. The lining is also backed with polyester spacer mesh, providing both the durability you can rely on and a comfortable fit.
Common Features and Specifications
Features
• The instep and heel straps can be adjusted with G-hooks, just like the Cairn Evo 3D Pro. Since there is no toe post strap, the hold is slightly less rigid than the Cairn Evo series, but in return, it offers greater freedom for the toes. The strap on the outside of the instep can be released with one action and provides a secure hold, making them smooth to take on and off.
• The footbed has a gentle, three-dimensional shape, positioned right between the completely flat Cairn Evo and the more anatomically sculpted Cairn Evo 3D. Because of its moderate thickness, it provides excellent cushioning, making them comfortable to wear all day without fatigue.
• The outsole, newly designed specifically for the Clog, provides the functionality required for outdoor activities while remaining user-friendly for cycling or daily wear. It uses Vibram® Mega Grip, offering exceptional grip even on wet or muddy terrain.
• The toe area, where physical contact is frequent, is rubber-coated to enhance safety and durability.
By the way, please be careful, as some of the new colors and materials can be easily confused.
Obsidian Dark Gray in Nubuck Leather is, as the name suggests, a dark gray, while Obsidian Black Upper in Synthetic Suede is, as the name suggests, black.
Similarly, you might confuse Birch Bark in Suede Leather with Pinecone in Synthetic Suede, but the former has a chic, sophisticated feel, while the latter has a rugged, tough look.
Also, the Synthetic Leather models feature perforations on the toe and sides.
How do they look as they age?
Choosing a model can be tricky, especially regarding materials. I provided a blog post regarding the care of each material the other day, but the way they develop character varies. I've placed new and well-worn pairs side-by-side for you to see, so please use this as a reference.
