[New Product Information] ADAM BELL’S WORKS New Cycling Cap

New caps have arrived from our friend Adam Bell, a graphic designer based in Munich, Germany, who absolutely loves Japan!

We've received some classic, highly creative items from Adam. His caps really are cute from every angle!

ADAM BELL’S WORKS Cycling Cap

This cap was originally going to be named "Golden Schuppen," inspired by a dragon with golden scales. While "Schuppen" is the German word for scales, the Italian manufacturer accidentally spelled it "Golden Schuppi," which ended up changing the name.

Adam says, "'Shuppi' sounded like a Japanese word to me, so I looked it up and found out it means 'cost'! Golden Expenses—that’s pretty great, too. So, I added a few hidden $, €, ¥, and Yuan symbols on the inside."

This one was created with inspiration from the crew at "La Chouette," a Paris-based shop and friends of SimWorks USA. They are a very cool bike shop, so please check out their website. Adam and the crew are great friends, and while they have carried many of Adam's caps, this is the first time they've requested their own official cap. The design, of course, features "La Chouette" (the owl)!

And finally, the "Takoyaki-Party Cap"!!

Adam enjoyed a takoyaki party with friends when he visited Japan. Pour the batter, add the octopus, flip it over and over, and eat it nice and hot. Add sauce, mayo, bonito flakes, or aonori to your liking. A takoyaki party with friends is so fun and happy—it’s pure "Takou" (joy) in every bite!

Restocked Artworks

We also have restocks. It's been a long time, but our popular calendar, posters, and bicycle guides are back in stock!

This is a bicycle-themed illustrated calendar created by Adam and his colleagues at "Umwerks," a designer shop in Munich.

It is undated, so you can use it regardless of the year (it works for this leap year, too!).

This is an A3 size poster.

It breaks down a bicycle into 65 parts, illustrated and labeled in six languages: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese.

With Adam Bell’s relaxed drawing style and parts labeled even with their Japanese pronunciation, it’s something people of all ages, backgrounds, and cycling interests can enjoy.

Be careful if you hang it in the restroom—you might find yourself staring at it and end up staying in there a bit too long.

ADAM’S Bicycle Poster

Price: 990 JPY (tax included)

This is a very unique bicycle guidebook.

Adam came up with the idea for this illustrated guide while searching the internet for repair methods and buying old parts from Italy on eBay, realizing that even the same parts have wonderful names in different countries and languages (for example, a chainring is called "corona" in Italian). He wanted to make it easier for everyone to find the parts they need.

The illustrations are accompanied by names in five languages: German, English, French, Italian, and Japanese.

Actions related to bicycles, like "pushing" a bike, "riding" a bike, or "crashing," are also translated.

This guide doesn't feature trendy latest e-bike components or new BB standards, but rather the common, classic bicycles we've always known—the kind of bikes we all first encountered as children or students, and which are familiar to everyone.

ADAM’S Das Fahrrad/the bicycle/le velo/la bicicletta/jitensya

Price: 1,980 JPY (tax included)

Each item features a unique design and eye-catching colors, all overflowing with the "Adam World." His easygoing, gentle personality and imaginative designs are truly captivating.

You might feel it's a waste to cover them up with a helmet (but make sure you wear one! Safety first!), though it might also be a fun little secret to enjoy on your own.

Please come check them out at our Circles storefront or in our online shop!
