Hi everyone, this is Tomoda picking up the baton from Nabetaku.
There were two events held last Saturday.
Since the hard-riding event held during the day is already up on this morning's blog,
I'll leave you to check that out instead. (Though it’s just pictures of guys riding bikes...)
The event held at night was organized by women: [#KoiNoAlleycat (Love Alleycat)].
Being organized by women, the participants here weren't just guys.
Here is the scene at one of the eight checkpoints, where participants drew an "omikuji" fortune.
Maybe it’s unique to Nagoya that you can't win an alleycat just by being fast,
as you earn different points depending on the fortune you draw.
This is also part of why it's easy for women to participate.
If you want to know more about this alleycat, please search Instagram for #KoiNoAlleycat.
What I especially want you to see is the preparation process leading up to the event day.

Seeing how excited everyone was with the preparations, it was clear right then that it was going to be a fun event.
The food at the after-party was homemade by the organizers.
The Daisy Messenger Office, our after-party venue, became a place for socializing late into the night.
As I wrote in my previous blog, I think a bicycle is a tool.
And I think the most wonderful way to use it is as a tool to connect people, just like this event did.
Thank you to the five bicycle girls who organized this! It was fun!
Word has it the guys who received chocolate are planning a White Day Alleycat for next month.
Stay tuned!!
We have to make it an event where lots of girls come!
