Path hunting, cyclocross, and beer

The CRC pass-hunting ride was held under a crisp winter sky, though it was hard to call it a "mild winter."

Today's ride. To my surprise, I was the only one on a carbon frame. I forgot that I'd swapped my cassette for a road one. Climbing a steep, gravel-strewn hill with a 36x25 gear was tough. Fun, though. #roadlikethese #cxjp #passhunting

The course was set with an elevation gain of about 800m over 50km, but as expected, these enthusiasts, whose hearts race at the mere sight of the word #passhunting, handled it well.

I was reminded once again that riding together is fun, so I'll collect some more ideas and hold another ride. Please let me know if you have any good route ideas. Thank you all for coming out! Let's ride again soon.

It was great that people who don't usually watch cyclo-cross were able to see it while grabbing a beer. It’s fascinating to see experiences that people have never had before begin to cross over, starting right here in this place.

It’s early in the week, but Hedgehog Diner will be open this Friday from 6:00 PM.
