Hello, everyone! It’s Chan-Mai.
Have you seen Minami Chaya’s blog post that was uploaded recently? The "If You Got Injury" kit introduced in the blog is packed with "know-how for dealing with injuries" based on real-life experience. If you are someone who:
★ Wants to ride your bike on mountain trails
★ Enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and camping, not just cycling
★ Loves playing in nature!
I highly recommend you read it—actually, I believe you *should* read it. I intentionally used the expression "wants to," but surely there are many people out there playing in nature without any knowledge of how to deal with injuries. And as I said with the phrase "wants to," I truly believe this is knowledge you should acquire before you start those kinds of activities.

The possibility of encountering an unexpected situation, ranging from a minor scrape to something more serious, is never zero. After all, the risk of injury applies to everyone without exception!

And for us cyclists, there’s one thing we mustn't forget: "bicycle maintenance." Maintenance might seem professional and daunting, but there are simple repairs you can do with just a little knowledge and experience. You could call it first aid for your bike.
If you have the preparation and knowledge, you might be able to patch up a broken-down bike just enough to ride the 5km to the nearest train station or bike shop, rather than having to walk 5km while dragging your broken bike behind you—a branching path that’s chilling just to think about.
I may have sounded a bit alarming, but for those of you thinking, "So how should I prepare? Where do I even start?"—please rest assured.
Announcement: The 2nd Body ✖️ Bike First Aid Workshop
Now that we’ve realized injuries are a part of life, here is an event I’d love for you to join.

We held the first workshop one month ago. Like the first one, this session will be an "introductory level" course.
・What is first aid in the first place?
・What’s the most important thing to be careful about when you’re injured?
・What do you need to know about infections?
・Is it true that a triangular bandage is incredibly versatile?
・What kind of tools should I carry with me?
We will have Yoshinobu Takagi, who is a nurse, a Vivobarefoot Japan trainer, and an outdoorsman, as our instructor to talk about these topics.

And
・What kind of bike troubles can occur during a ride?
・Can you ride even if your derailleur is bent?
・Can you ride if your chain breaks?
We will have Daisaku-senpai, a 10-year veteran of cycling who works at Circles' sister shop CULTURE CLUB (which handles used bikes and parts), as our instructor to cover these topics.

The 2nd Body ✖️ Bike First Aid Workshop
Date & Time: Nov 1st (Fri) 19:00-22:00
Nov 2nd (Sat) 16:00-19:00
Venue: EARLYBIRDS BREAKFAST
Capacity: 15 people per day / Participation fee: 4000 JPY
(Includes a body first aid kit)
We’ll have first aid supplies for both your body and bike ready for you to use!

We have prepared various items, including a first aid pouch produced by Inocchi-san from our fellow shop Pot equipment store. (Come listen to the workshop to check what kind of things you might need!)

The first aid pouch is an original item that you can freely wrap around your bike frame or a backpack strap to carry with you. Since it fits most of the bare essentials, I hope you’ll fill it with what you need and carry it on your regular rides and hikes as a good luck charm.
Let’s all learn about first aid together and make our cycling adventures even more free and fun! We look forward to seeing you there!
