We are about one month away from Mori, Michi, Ichiba 2022!
The performing artists have all been announced, and the shops that will be opening are now listed on the website—the excitement is just unstoppable!
As I mentioned in the previous Mori Michi Ichiba article, this year we are finally bringing back the "BIKE to Mori Michi Ichiba" ride tour, which we couldn't hold the last two years due to COVID-19!
Ride tours departing from Handa, Okazaki, and Toyohashi
If you’re nervous about riding alone, let’s go together on a ride tour!
Between chatting about the route while enjoying the scenery and talking about the artists you're looking forward to, you'll reach the ocean at Gamagori before you know it.
Even if a problem occurs during the ride, we’ll be there with you, so you can ride with peace of mind!
And this time, you can choose from a total of three routes: a long ride from Handa, a short ride from Okazaki Station, and a ride from nearby Toyohashi.
The longest route from Handa is about 50km. You'll ride along the coast after passing through the Kinuura Submarine Tunnel, so if you want to enjoy the view and experience both the ride and the event to the fullest, this is the course for you!
The Okazaki route is about 23km. This is a route that sees many families participating. It’s a route that even elementary school children can complete, so why not come along on an adventure to the sea in Gamagori?
Finally, the course departing from Toyohashi is about 15km. It avoids main roads and is even easy enough for a city bike (mamachari).
You can go by car or train, but why not wake up a little early and pedal with us? You can park your bike in a dedicated area and enter through a special entrance, avoiding the long lines!

I want to ride, but I'm really anxious...
I know I said "let's ride together," but I’m sure those who have never joined a group ride or haven't ridden long distances on a bike before feel a bit nervous. When I first went on a bike tour, I was nervous too, and I went around asking all sorts of people about what to bring and what to keep in mind.
So, we will be holding a briefing & workshop for those participating in or considering the ride tour!
BIKE to Mori Michi Pre-ride Consultation / Participant Meeting
Date: Sunday, May 1st, 19:00〜 at Circles
We will go over the flow of the day, what to bring, a Q&A session, and more. Even if you're already planning to participate, let's meet up and deepen our connection!
Participation is not mandatory. Information on what to bring will also be sent to participants via email.
No reservation is required for the consultation. It’s a great opportunity to decide if you think you can make it, so please come by! "Spice Hour" will be open right next door at Aliba from 17:00 to 20:00, so you can even grab some curry!
We are holding a "First Time Rinko" (Bike Transport) workshop.
In this workshop, we plan to cover how to do "rinko" (transporting your bike by train).
After fully enjoying the event, it’s nice to ride home while soaking in the lingering memories, but many people are often too exhausted for that. In such cases, you can use "rinko," which is the method of bringing your bicycle onto a train to get home.

However, rinko requires disassembling the bike and packing it into a bag, so practicing beforehand will ensure you don't panic on the day.
We will be teaching how to do this at our sister store, "CULTURE CLUB," so if you have never done rinko before or are feeling anxious about it, please join us!
BIKE to Mori Michi Ichiba "First Time Rinko" Workshop
Date & Time: Monday, May 9th, 18:00 (approx. 1.5 hours) Pre-booking required; max 3 people
Course Fee: ¥3,000-
Location: Culture Club
How to apply: Please send an email via the contact page with the title "Regarding the Mori Michi Ride Tour Workshop," and include the number of participants.
The theme of the workshop is "First Time Rinko." Rinko is a way to transport your bike using public transportation like trains or airplanes by packing it into a special bag. We will teach you the structure, tips, and how to avoid and handle potential trouble. Of course, anyone who is still nervous about rinko is more than welcome, so let's learn together!
If your schedule doesn't match or you have any other questions, please feel free to consult with us separately.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
