【VELO ORANGE】Handlebars that fit the city

Japanese oranges are in season from February to April. (I believe they are called Navel oranges.)
Come to think of it, I realized I’ve only eaten a handful of them so far this year, and my craving for oranges is growing more and more. Ah, I want to eat one…

Perhaps my pleas were heard, as we have received a shipment of various oranges from Annapolis, Maryland, in the United States.

The first orange is this shape, which comes to mind when you hear "commuter bar."

【VELO ORANGE】 Milano Handlebar

Stem Clamp: 25.4mm
Grip: 22.2mm
Rise: 25mm
Reach: 110mm
Sweep: 35deg
Grip Length: 170mm
Width: 570mm

This Milano Bar is the one we installed on the cute Cross-Check in a commuter style we built previously.
It was made to turn old Italian racing frames into the fastest commuter bikes in the city. While it has a deep sweep, it also has a moderate flare, giving it a relaxed look while still being easy to handle in the city.
Please note that bar-end shifters cannot be installed.

The second orange is for a bit of speedy commuting.

【VELO ORANGE】 Postino Handle Bar

Stem Clamp: 25.4mm
Grip: 22.2mm
Rise: 0mm
Sweep: 45deg
Grip Length: 150mm
Width: 570mm

The Postino Bar is quite similar to the Milano Bar, but this one is flat with no rise and has slightly longer grip positions. It is the ultimate commuter bar if you want a slightly more forward-leaning position.

The third orange is this classic staple with a bit of a quirky feel.

【VELO ORANGE】 Montmartre Handlebar

Bar Diam.: 22.2mm, 23.8mm
Stem Clamp: 25.4mm
Rise: 60mm
Reach: 180mm
Grip Length: 120mm
Width: 420mm

Montmartre is a place in Paris known for its cafes and artist studios.
Based on traditional French commuter bike handlebars, it is slightly narrower at 42cm so that you won’t catch on cafe tables or Citroen side mirrors while navigating the narrow streets of Montmartre.

When paired with a short stem, this classic-style bar allows for an upright, relaxed position.

The final orange is a masterpiece that could become synonymous with modern commuter handlebars.

【VELO ORANGE】 Porteur Handlebar

Color: Silver, Black
Bar Diam.: 22.2mm, 23.8mm
Stem Clamp: 25.4mm
Rise: 15mm
Reach: 140mm
Grip Length: 130mm
Width: 480mm

A modern masterpiece of a handlebar that remakes the historic Porteur Bar by Belleri.
Because it doesn't flare out too much and instead bends inward, it offers high maneuverability even when carrying a heavy load, making it suitable for everything from city riding to touring.
It pairs well with baskets and racks, and makes the side profile of your bike look even more beautiful.

If you try swapping the drop bars on the bike you ride every day for a commuter bar, it’s sure to become a bike that fits your hands even better when you head out casually to a coffee stand or that bakery you've been curious about.
