Tabby, the split-toe socks that are a signature item of RAL, were born from a desire to help people enjoy healthy, comfortable days regardless of the situation.
We have released and introduced several models to date, and today we would like to present the latest addition to the Tabby line: the Tabby Long.
Split-toe socks designed for comfort through autumn, winter, and spring
The most significant feature of the new “Tabby Long” is its soft, gentle feel. From the moment you slide your feet in until the end of the day, you will appreciate its comfortable fit. While it offers a different feel from the previous Tabby and Tabby Sport models, by selecting new yarns and reconsidering our knitting techniques, we have made it possible to spend the autumn, winter, and spring seasons in even greater comfort.
Functionality for enjoying outdoor activities
Naturally, in addition to this comfort, they possess the functionality to perform well in any scene. Based in wool for enhanced heat retention, moisture absorption, and odor resistance, we have maximized the durability and quick-drying properties required for outdoor activities by blending in acrylic and polyester yarns. Of course, you will also feel the benefits of these reliable functions in your everyday life.
A structure designed for warmth
To ensure you stay warm during the colder months ahead, these are longer than previous models. Furthermore, in addition to the toes, soles, and heels, the area on the top of the foot where the colors switch (the gray part on the model) is also knit with a fluffy pile, effectively covering the entire front of your foot.
Ample room for the toes
Just like our previous models, the toe area is designed with plenty of room to fully cover both the big toe and the others. This minimizes the discomfort of having your toes pinched when wearing sandals with a thong, such as BEDROCK SANDALS. By firmly wrapping the big toe, the socks can also effectively manage sweat between the toes, helping to keep you comfortable.
Reinforced with polyethylene yarn for enhanced durability
Because the toes and heels are subject to heavy wear, we have woven in a newly adopted polyethylene reinforcement yarn to provide superior durability. Additionally, just like the Tabby Sport, the area from the ball of the big toe to the ball of the little toe features a three-dimensional shape designed to improve range of motion, and this area also incorporates the same reinforcement yarn.

The design continues to be overseen by Motonobu Nakamura, a designer affectionately known as "Kantoku" (the Director) who has a diverse range of roles as a runner, hiker, and DJ. It comes in a three-color lineup. By the way, in addition to overseeing the design, we had Kantoku wear prototypes numerous times and provide feedback while creating this Tabby series, and he remarked that this Tabby Long, with its soft and non-constricting fit, is his absolute favorite.
