[QUOC PHAM] GRAN TOURER

Since discovering the joy of hitting the trails last winter, I’ve found myself going out on rides alone every weekend this winter. But since everything is more fun when you’re out with a group, I recently went for a ride with some friends and women interested in gravel riding.

Looking down at our feet once we started, it was as if we’d planned it—almost everyone was wearing Gran Tourers. The GRAN TOURER from QUOC, which just arrived last month, has already been very well received, but I’m sure many of you are still wondering what they’re really like.

So today, I’d like to introduce them based on my experiences using them over the past month for everything from racing and riding to commuting.

First off, the thing I like most is that they are incredibly easy to walk in. I’ve worn many off-road shoes, and before the Gran Tourers, I was using shoes with Giro carbon soles. While those were great for racing—providing good power transfer—they were difficult to walk in, which didn’t suit my riding style, as I often go gravel riding and have to hike-a-bike.

The Gran Tourers, however, use a carbon-composite material. Rather than the rigid, unyielding feel typical of carbon, they have just the right amount of flex, making pedaling feel natural while still ensuring excellent power transfer.

And although you’d typically need shoe covers in winter, the seamless, highly water-resistant upper also naturally provides windproofing, making them quite resistant to the cold.

Also, just like the Night model, the lineup includes smaller sizes for the Japanese market: Size 38 (22.5cm) and Size 39 (23.5cm). This is a shoe I’d love for anyone who has been interested in QUOC but struggled to find their size, or women who previously gave up because they couldn't find a fit, to try out.

I’ve always struggled with shoe selection and haven’t been able to find a pair that fits perfectly, but I have no complaints at all about the Gran Tourers so far. Honestly, I’m even planning on buying another pair in a different color; it’s a shoe I can recommend with total confidence.

【QUOC】 Gran Tourer

Price : ¥29,000 (excl. tax)

・Patented "GravelGrip™" sole for superior grip and durability

・Seamless upper for increased water resistance and durability

・Patented "Double Lock Lace" system inherited from the Night road shoe

As for the color options, they come in four: Black Camo, Black, Green Camo, and Beige Pink. Every color is easy to pair with any outfit, making them suitable for a variety of scenes, including racing, riding, and commuting.

You can also enjoy a different vibe by changing the laces, so why not find your favorite pair and enjoy coordinating them to your own taste? Personally, since I often choose navy clothes, I went with the Beige Pink, which seems to go well with navy, and swapped out the laces as well.

They’ve been very popular since they arrived, and some sizes and colors are already out of stock. If you’ve been interested in the Gran Tourer or are looking to get new shoes for spring, please come by the store to try them on and see their quality for yourself.
