The highly anticipated QUOC Gran Tourer shoes have finally arrived.

The classic MTB/gravel clipless shoe from QUOC PHAM — the Tourer — has been updated and reborn as the Gran Tourer. Rather than being just a variation of a competition shoe, this is an entirely new all-terrain gravel bike shoe born from zero-based thinking about what kind of footwear is actually needed for the riding and play we enjoy, such as long rides on rough roads and bikepacking.
– A sole with reliable grip
To create the perfect off-road cycling shoe, we had to start by developing the sole. Quoc created a sole using a patent-pending synthetic rubber material called GravelGrip™, which offers excellent grip and durability. You will notice it immediately when you get off the bike and walk; it features a reliable bite that keeps you steady even in muddy conditions or when crossing wet stones and rocks.
– Fully waterproof with gusseted tongue and seamless design
Another key point for off-road riding is "wetness and dirt."
When you go for more adventurous rides, you will inevitably encounter puddles and unpaved paths. The Gran Tourer's gusseted tongue and seamless upper design are fully waterproof and offer top-tier abrasion resistance. For instance, even if you cross a shallow stream, your feet will remain dry and comfortable. The meticulous design, which prevents water from entering through the back of the cleat holes, is also a major plus.
– Customizable fit with laces
With a simple lacing style that avoids buckles or Velcro, you can ride without worrying about the stress of potential breakage over long-term use, while still maintaining an excellent fit. Thanks to the unique, patented Quoc Double-Lock Lacing System, you can tighten various sections to your preference, creating secure support and a personalized fit.
I have already started using them myself, and while they don't quite reach the level of the leather upper on the Night, the comfort of putting them on is exceptional, thanks to the laces and the conforming upper material.
The carbon-composite midsole has just the right amount of stiffness to transfer power to the pedals effectively while still being very easy to walk in. Personally, I would use these without hesitation even on rides that involve a lot of bike-carrying, and I think they will really shine on gravel rides. The sense of security is just like equipping a gravel bike with wider, knobby tires. I'm looking forward to exploring gravel with these from now on!
