"HEDGEHOG DINER," the face of Early Birds on Friday nights, restarted in February.
Thanks to everyone, the shop is bustling with people almost every week, quickly turning into something like a standing bar. From behind the counter, I can see people of all different occupations, genders, nationalities, and ages mixing together and becoming friends over drinks, and I’m able to enjoy it right along with them. The Early Birds nights are only going to get more interesting.

Although it’s only once a week, I hope you all will use it as your go-to Friday night hangout. Please feel free to come by and have a good time.
In March, we will be open on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st. In other words, every week. Haha.

・The 3rd!!!
"RAL Mie Briefing Session"
We recently announced RIDEALIVE 2017. This is a short talk event by the two people in charge of the first Mie edition. They’ll be giving a presentation about this year’s RIDEALIVE and about Vol. 1: Mie. Please come listen to these two guys vent about their passion for travel in the corner of the shop. You’re welcome to sign up right there on the spot, too.

・The 17th!!!
"Lil' Kitchen Goodbye Alley Night by CHILL!!"
We started a night orienteering event to be held on the third Friday of every month, but for our second installment, we’re dedicating the day to sending off Lil' Kitchen—a baker, cyclist, and drinker—who is transferring to Tokyo. In short, we just want to party. Haha. In her four years in Nagoya, her life surely changed for better or worse thanks to meeting Early Birds and Circles. Haha. Let’s all send her off with a smile. I have a feeling it’s going to be a good night.
The 24th!!!
"Men no Ki Bodai in EARLYBIRDS"
Bodai, the Nishio ramen shop that makes even crying children stop to eat, is coming. Following our recent guest, Zoumeshiya, they are the next to visit. They even built their own noodle-making facility in their shop, and their focus on homemade noodles really shows—they are delicious. Their standard brothless ramen is recommended, but they seem to be bringing a few other varieties this time as well. It’s been a year and a half since their last visit, and I’m already looking forward to it. I want to continue hosting someone like this one Friday night a month. Everyone will be happy with the next guest, too. Stay tuned. Makihara-san, also known as Macky, is very fired up.

I’d also like to thank everyone for the huge turnout with Zoumeshiya the other day. Their energy is truly something. It was a day that gave me so much inspiration.

The 31st!!!
"JAPANESE BIKE TOURISM CONFERENCE"
This is a report-style event on bicycle touring by Tappei-kun from OTAKU HOUSE. It’s not about fashion, but rather exploring bike trips as a culture and a tool for Japanese people. It’s not a stuffy talk event; I just want us to hang out, have some drinks, and lazily look back at Tappei-kun’s trip records while talking about what bike trips mean to a guy in his early twenties. I want people to feel free to come listen without feeling pressured. Giving young people a stage to share their ideas is one of my goals for this year.

That’s where we are at right now.
Let’s play hard in March, too. I’m looking forward to it. In the meantime, I’ll be here wrapping dumplings and waiting for you.
