People often tell me I'm stubborn.
I wish this heat would just turn me into a puddle of mush.
Hello everyone, Nabetaku here.
It’s hot here in Nagoya. It’s scorching.
I’m pretty sure it hits over 35 degrees during the day. Please be careful of heatstroke!
The best way to get through this time of year is probably to avoid pushing yourself on your bike during the hottest hours, maybe chill out at a café instead, and save your riding for the early morning, evening, or night. The night air might be a bit humid, but it should definitely be cooler to ride than in the middle of the day.
For those of you who say, "I'm riding even in the middle of summer like an overexcited kid!"—make sure you hydrate often, listen to your body, and don't push too hard, and getting a good night's sleep beforehand is super important!
Speaking of, today is the Portland Living ~Summer Night Festival~.
Definitely try to head over by bike. Taka-san, our resident festival guy from Circles, is waiting there to welcome you all!
Anyway, with the Olympics starting around now, we decided to wrap up work early on Wednesday and go out to have some fun on our bikes.
It wasn't just a ride this time. It was a "BIKE TO FUTSAL" event!

Despite only announcing it a few days ago, a lot of footballers gathered to play!

It’s so much fun when everyone gets together like this!

We had customers, partners, and friends of friends. We even had people show up who said, "I've never been to the shop, but I came along!" By the way, the The Athletic reversible mesh tank tops that Keita-san and Shige-san are wearing are now in stock at the shop. They’re perfect for team sports like this, and I bet they’d be great for mid-summer rides too!

It’s annoying how good-looking guys look 30% even more handsome while playing.

You showed your dad what you’re made of!

Thanks to everyone who joined in!
Did that make you want to play futsal?
We’ve already booked the court for the next one on Tuesday, September 6th, but keep an eye on our various SNS accounts just in case the date changes!
Anyway, thank you for coming by today.
We’ll be waiting for you tomorrow starting at 12:00!
