【February 22, 2020】Double Points Campaign!!!

I turned 41 this past February 9th. Since this is my "yakudoshi" (an unlucky year in Japanese tradition), I am a bit worried about whether something might happen to me, but there is no point in overthinking it, so I’ve decided to just put a protective charm in my wallet and leave it at that. By the way, staff members Uno-chan and Tomoda-san also have birthdays in February, and I feel like there are others too; in any case, I have a lot of friends and acquaintances who were born in February. I think many people hold their own birthdays dear among all the various anniversaries, but conversely, many may have stopped paying them much mind since they come around every single year. Besides, it’s not as if turning older really changes anything.

Now, tomorrow is February 22nd, Reiwa 2.
It’s not particularly an anniversary or a holiday, but it is a rare day in the Japanese calendar consisting only of the number 2. Plus, the Western calendar year is 2020—I wonder when the next time a timing like this will come around? To turn this non-anniversary of February 22nd, 2020 into a special day, tomorrow will be a Circles Double Points Day!

Some of you might think that double points are no big deal, but they really start to add up over time.

With Circles Points, you earn 1 point for every 300 yen you spend. Once you accumulate points, you can issue a 100 yen discount coupon for 10 points, a 5,000 yen coupon for 500 points, and a 10,000 yen coupon for 1,000 points. So, with double points... how about that? It’s quite a great deal.
