WEIS MANUFACTURING Ti Stem
WEIS MANUFACTURING is a handmade frame brand born in Brooklyn, New York.
The brand handles everything from frame fabrication to painting in-house at its Brooklyn studio, and its unique frame designs and bold color schemes have attracted attention from cyclists around the world. Its lineup extends beyond track frames to include a variety of models, such as road and gravel bikes.
Another major feature of this brand is that it has the facilities to manufacture not only frames but also parts such as stems and handlebars in-house.
One of WEIS’s signature components is this Ti Stem. Like the frames, it is a handmade titanium stem crafted in their Brooklyn, New York workshop.
By combining machined 6AL-4V titanium for the steerer tube clamp with seamless 3AL-2.5V titanium tubing for the body, it achieves both light weight and high stiffness.
Furthermore, titanium is used for the bolts, resulting in a weight of approximately 118g for the 110mm size. While the design appears simple at first glance, the meticulous craftsmanship down to the finest details embodies the beauty that is quintessentially WEIS. Without relying on flashy logos or decorations, it exudes a presence through the inherent appeal of the material and the high precision of its machining.
The design expertise, machining technology, and deep understanding of materials required to create a frame—this stem was born precisely because WEIS possesses all of these qualities.
