[MECHANIC'S COMMENT]

VELOCITY Quill is a lightweight and rigid aluminum rim for a wide range of road and gravel riding. It has a classic look, but is optimized for modern wide tires, offering a good balance of suppleness and responsiveness.

The rim profile with a wide inner width makes it a good match for tires around 28c to 40c, bringing out the volume of the tire. This improves ground contact and stability, providing a feeling of security from pavement to rough surfaces. The ride quality, which is not excessively hard, is easy to handle and does not cause fatigue even on long rides.

These rims are perfect for quick and hard track bikes.

The CHRIS KING Boost 6-Bolt Hub is a highly accurate and durable disc hub that is suitable for a wide range of applications from trails to gravel to everyday riding. Based on Chris King's long-standing reputation for manufacturing, it has been optimized to the modern Boost standard.

Chris King hubs on a track bike."
The Culture Club's first product CCB-001 was born from such a simple and strong desire.

Chris King is known for its USA-made, high-precision, and high-durability products, but there is no lineup of rear hubs for track use. The idea was to use a 6-bolt disc mount to mount a cog, and the Boost front hub was the standard.

By combining the 110mm wide ISO Boost front hub with specially designed axle shafts and spacers, a rear hub compatible with 120mm end track bikes was converted. In addition, the combination of a special track cog allows the Chris King hub to be used as a fixed gear.

What is a wheel in a bicycle? It is an important part for a bicycle to move forward and has a great influence on the appearance of the bicycle, since it is said that "fashion starts from the feet up". Wheels" are such a very, very important component. This time, I would like to talk about how they are assembled, not about their performance.

In the world of bicycle wheels, there are two types: "fully assembled" and "hand-assembled.

Complete assembly" is a wheel that is sent out by the wheel manufacturer as a finished product, and we, store mechanics, rarely have to make major adjustments to the wheel. (Some wheels need to be fine-tuned, and some wheels need to be hand-assembled.) Because of this, some wheels are made for a specific group of people, or for professionals, or for professional-level riders, and they are not made with each individual customer in mind.

This is where Circles' specialty, "hand assembly" comes in.

The advantage of "hand assembly" is that we, mechanics, select the parts that make up the wheel one by one and assemble them to complete the wheel to make it just right for the user.
