Commonly found on European utility bikes and touring bikes, the front wheel stabilizer makes front rack installation even easier. By connecting the fork and down tube and giving the front wheels subtle self-centering, it's much easier to load and unload the front of the bike with less left and right touch. The springs also provide some resistance to the steering, which also prevents the steering wheel from being picked up due to bumps on the ground.
