TEKTRO's MD-C500 Lyra 1.0 M is a sleek and sturdy mechanical disc brake caliper that supports such daily rides without fuss.
The construction is very simple and easy to handle, with a single piston design. The major advantage of the wire-pull (mechanical) type is that there is no need for fluid replacement or bleeding, as is the case with hydraulic types, and in the unlikely event of wire problems, adjustment and recovery can be done easily on the road.
Furthermore, the brake pads used are the same shape as those of the SHIMANO B series (B05S, etc.), which are easy to obtain. The fact that consumable parts are easily available at bicycle shops in town is also very important for bikes that are used on a daily basis.
Compatible with flat bar levers (MTB/linear pull ratio), this is a standard wallet-friendly ally for commuter bike builds on an affordable budget, or for repairing and refreshing cross bikes.

Complete Bike Shipping within Japan
- A shipping fee of ¥9,900 (tax included) applies to complete bikes. Additional charges may apply for Okinawa and remote islands.
- After purchase, we perform a final inspection before shipping. Please allow 1–2 weeks in some cases.
- For packing, some parts may be removed. We strongly recommend having the bike reassembled and checked by your local bicycle shop before riding.

- Products are also sold in-store, so availability may change before the order is finalized.
Frameset Shipping within Japan
- Flat-rate shipping within Japan: ¥5,500 (tax included). Additional charges may apply for Okinawa and remote islands.
- Shipping rates for OMNIUM framesets and complete bikes differ.

- Facing and tapping preparation for framesets purchased from Circles is available at no additional charge. Details will be provided after purchase.
- Headset and bottom bracket installation are also available for an additional labor fee. Please contact us if required.
Custom & Stock Wheel Shipping within Japan

- Stock wheels undergo a final inspection by a mechanic before shipping. Please allow approximately 3 business days for dispatch.
