Surly is proud to introduce the Midnight Special, a road-plus and touring bike model.
With Surly's original blend of 4130 tubing and generous tire clearance, this road-plus bike offers both a comfortable ride and a nimble feeling of speed.
Compatible with both 650B and 700C with a maximum tire clearance of 60mm for 650B and 42mm for 700C, this is a road bike with a lot of Surly character for applications that are not limited to serious racing or on-road riding. For example, it is also suitable for those who enjoy fast run touring, venture into gravel roads, or just want to ride in comfort from morning to night.
The benefits of Road Plus include increased vibration absorption on rough surfaces, adjustable air pressure to vary the ride quality, and increased traction. Additionally, the Midnight Special offers rack and fender mounts, as well as three bottle mount locations.
The front hub is a 100x12mm through-axle version, while the rear hub is 142x12mm through-axle with special washers to accommodate 135x10mm QR. Surly-like versatility is hidden everywhere.

Regarding the delivery of complete bikes
- Please note that a separate shipping fee of 9,900 yen (tax included) will be charged for shipping complete bikes. (However, an additional fee will be charged for delivery to Okinawa and remote islands.)
- After receiving your order, we will do a final check and ship complete bikes, but it may take 1-2 weeks. Please understand.
- We will send the bike with some parts removed for packing. We strongly recommend that you have your bicycle assembled at your nearest bicycle store.
- We will inform you of the delivery date and other details by e-mail.
- We apologize for any sales discrepancies at the store.
Regarding the delivery of frame sets
- Nationwide flat-rate shipping: 5,500 yen (tax included) (However, an additional fee will be charged for delivery to Okinawa and remote islands.)

- We will provide the pre-treatment of facing and tapping for the frame sets purchased at our store as a service. We will inform you separately after purchase.
