Description

This frame is on preorder and will be available in mid-October 2025.
Is it super?
Super Something, Sklarbikes' first Taiwanese production bike in 2022, has been redesigned as the 2.0.
With the introduction of the PBJ, the Super Something has been brushed up to be more of an all-road/gravel bike category bike, with a flat mount for drop bar assembly, the original Unicrown fork, and updated tubing selections. The new frameset is lighter than the previous model.
Gravel bikes have become immensely popular over the past decade, but one thing has remained the same. That is that going out for a ride on a bike that can handle any terrain is a lot of fun.
The Super Something, Sklarbikes' first production model made in Taiwan, is an incredibly versatile platform that meets all the needs for riding on a variety of surfaces and in many different places, and it can grow and change with the rider's riding style It is a bike that can grow and change with your riding style.
In designing hundreds of custom bikes as Sklarbikes, builder Adam discovered that there is no tool for the specific job of building a custom-made bike. Many one-off bikes passed from Adam's hands to their owners to try out new shapes, parts, and ideas, and while that was of course fun, it was an ad hoc and complete process.
But in fact those bikes seemed to be generally built all-purpose bikes. Bikes that could be enjoyed as the seasons changed, sometimes reborn with new handlebars, new tires, and new setups.
Adam wanted to make bikes that were "for everyone," that could be easily obtained rather than custom-ordered "for a specific person," so he used different tubing for each size and original dropouts and head tubes to create what Adam considers to be Sklarbikes. The Super Something is a production model made in Taiwan with different sizes of tubing, original dropouts and headtubes to meet Adam's Sklarbikes' quality standards.
[DESIGN PHILOSOPHY]
As simple as possible.
Generally speaking, a "gravel bike" is somewhere between a road bike and a mountain bike with bigger tires. This bike is positioned at just about 40% of that.
It is not designed to be completely closer to an MTB because the road bike geometry has the fun of going places, even far away, that you never thought you could go. That is not to say that we are blind to the evolution of bicycle geometry over the past few years. In general, these bikes have a slightly longer reach than a traditional road bike, and are designed for comfortable handling with a 50-90mm stem. or smaller tires, depending on where you want to ride and what you want to try.
Trends come and go, but this frame is set up to last and designed to handle the standards you've always relied on.

[FIT GUIDE]
Super Something is designed with versatility in mind, with a 700x45c gravel tire combined with a 70mm stem and 40-46cm wide drop bars considered as the basic design.
Each size is designed to fit as indicated, with the standard set to allow a comfortable position by combining a 70mm stem against the recommended saddle height range. In other words, if you normally ride an S size frame, the S will fit you, and if you ride an M size frame, the M will fit you.
Some riders may prefer to size down and use a longer stem and seat post for a more aggressive roadie fit. Riders looking for a French fit and more stable handling may also size up and choose a shorter stem. For reference, the expected saddle height (BB center to saddle top) for each size is as follows
Small: 618 - 700mm
- Medium: 690 - 740mm
- M-L: 710 - 760mm
- Large: 750 - 790mm
- X-Large: 780 - 840mm
