Japan has long been called the "Land of the Rising Sun." The beautiful sunrise, appearing only at the boundary between night and morning, brings a sense of quiet anticipation and a lightness in the chest as the sky slowly melts into crimson.

We named the special color that captures the hues appearing only during that brief moment the Sunrise Collection. How you use that special feeling you've held for the sunrise, and what emotions you layer onto it, is something you yourself will discover.

The Taquito Pedal is a smaller version of the Taco Pedal, which has a large platform.

Compared to its bigger brother, the Taco Pedal, the front-to-back width of the tread surface is 5mm smaller on each side. A total of 10mm smaller, which might seem insignificant, but the feeling transmitted from the sole of your shoe during pedaling changes significantly. Its more compact size makes it less prone to hitting tree roots or rolling rocks, and it's an excellent match for bikes with low BB height.

Taquito, meaning "small taco" in Spanish, is the name of a Mexican dish where tortillas filled with ingredients are fried until crispy. The side plates, inherited from the Taco Pedal, powerfully support it, allowing it to create a significant presence despite its compact size.

The highly polished cup-and-cone bearings are meticulously adjusted by skilled craftsmen at MKS, ensuring precise rotation. Even if rain or dust causes the rotation to become stiff, you can disassemble, clean, and adjust the bearing clearance and grease amount using a dedicated MKS cap wrench. Products that can be adjusted and maintained to suit the user, rather than being disposable, foster attachment and allow for longer use.

The clearance between the side plate and the pedal spindle is small, so installation with a 6mm Allen key is recommended.
MKS finishes its products with a slightly tighter bearing adjustment to extend the period until readjustment is needed. This adjustment is called "preload." After some use, as the initial "break-in" occurs, the bearings will rotate smoothly.
