SHIMANO's FH-RS470 is a rear free hub designed specifically for disc brake use that meets these practical requirements at a high level.

The FH-RS470 features a 12mm through-axle (142mm wide), which has become the world standard for modern disc road and gravel bikes, and a "center lock" mount for secure and speedy rotor attachment and removal.

Shimano's house specialty cup-and-cone bearing construction will maintain remarkably smooth and durable rotation for years with proper maintenance. In addition, the internal high-quality O-rings and grease sleeves provide high waterproof and dustproof performance (labyrinth and contact seals), so you can use the bike in the toughest situations, from rainy day commutes to dusty gravel trips, without fear of flooding.
