Description
RITCHEY Outback
Tom Ritchie welded his first bicycle in his parents' garage when he was only 15 years old. Since then, he has been riding, researching, designing, and building legendary bicycle frames.
Tom's creations have provided generations of cyclists with the best riding experience, have had a profound impact on the cycling industry, and have produced countless champions.
Along with his mentor Jobst Brandt and his ever-changing group of fellow riders, Tom set out on an adventure, riding all day long on endless paths, trails, and dirt roads.
There is no doubt that that riding experience from nearly 50 years ago has directly influenced the bikes we ride today, like this iconic Ritchey Outback from the world of gravel and adventure biking.
In honor of Ritchey's 50th anniversary and Tom's strong passion for off-road adventure, the 50th Anniversary Outback proudly sports a Half Moon Blue paint job, and the stunning light blue to deep blue fade is unintentionally inspiring. It is adorned with a special logo that represents the history of the Ritchie Company and the influence that Palo Alto, California has had on Tom.
As beautiful as this special Outback looks, it is loaded with practical and adaptable features that allow riders to pursue an epic riding experience beyond the endless road and the end of the day.
It also offers new riding possibilities by allowing clearance for both700cx48mm and 650bx2.0in tires.
Compatible with flat-mount disc calipers and featuring three dowel holes on each side, the all-carbon fiber Ritchie Adventure fork can be loaded without worrying about luggage.
The Outback frame with TIG-welded triple-butted steel tubing brings back Ritchie's legendary ride.
Bikepacking, road, off-road, trail, expedition touring, etc. ...... The Outback, in Ritchie's 50th Anniversary colors, is designed to do just about anything.
Just thinking about how to put it together is enough to make you drool.
