PAUL COMPONENT was founded in 1989 in a former oil distribution garage in Chico, California, and has been meticulously manufacturing bicycle parts in that garage ever since. PAUL believes that great products should be based on simple ideas, easy to maintain, and high levels of functionality.
The Boxcar Stem is the perfect combination of rigidity, strength, and lightness that PAUL has worked hard to develop over the years.
There is something about 7/8" (aka 22.2mm) handlebars that somehow attracts the most demanding riders. So, in addition to beefing up the boxcar stem, we made the clamp section especially thicker on the 7/8-inch version and added two additional high-strength stainless steel faceplate screws. Is it overkill? Definitely yes. While you won't damage it unless you run over it with a tank, this will definitely be the last 7/8" stem you will ever purchase.
All screws are high strength stainless steel with T25 Torx heads. The Torx heads prevent the problem often seen with aluminum stems of over-tightening the faceplate and cracking it, while at the same time using the same size as many disc rotor bolts.

Regarding the delivery of complete bikes
- Please note that a separate shipping fee of 9,900 yen (tax included) will be charged for shipping complete bikes. (However, an additional fee will be charged for delivery to Okinawa and remote islands.)
- After receiving your order, we will do a final check and ship complete bikes, but it may take 1-2 weeks. Please understand.
- We will send the bike with some parts removed for packing. We strongly recommend that you have your bicycle assembled at your nearest bicycle store.
- We will inform you of the delivery date and other details by e-mail.
- We apologize for any sales discrepancies at the store.
Regarding the delivery of frame sets
- Nationwide flat-rate shipping: 5,500 yen (tax included) (However, an additional fee will be charged for delivery to Okinawa and remote islands.)

- We will provide the pre-treatment of facing and tapping for the frame sets purchased at our store as a service. We will inform you separately after purchase.
