GORILLA SPUN [VELOCITY Quill 700c x VELOCITY Road Hub]
[MECHANIC'S COMMENT]
Uses the innovative road rim Quill, derived from the A23. With an external width of 24.5 mm and an internal width of 21.1 mm, this wide profile provides ample lateral stiffness even with a low spoke count, delivering comfortable handling.
With an aerodynamic 25.5 mm rim height, this is a recommended rim for riders seeking a crisp, responsive ride.
The hubs are VELOCITY Road Hubs. With their performance, ease of maintenance, and affordability, these well-balanced VELOCITY-branded hubs are truly the perfect middle ground. Featuring sealed bearings throughout, they are exceptionally easy to maintain thanks to their simple design, allowing for easy shell cleaning and axle replacement.
These wheels are designed for those who want to refresh a classic road bike without compromising its character while gaining reliability, or for those looking to build a commuter bike with a balance of lightness and durability.

What are wheels in the context of a bicycle? They are essential components for propelling a bicycle forward, and as the saying goes, "style starts from the ground up," so they also have a major impact on appearance. These extremely important components are wheels. This time, we won't talk about performance; instead, we'll talk about how they are built.
In the world of bicycle wheel building, there are two types: pre-built and hand-built.
"Pre-built" wheels are shipped by the wheel manufacturer as finished products, and shop mechanics generally do not need to make major adjustments. (Minor adjustments may be necessary, and some require a little extra attention to get them right.) Because of this, they are often built for a wide range of people or for professional or near-professional use, rather than being tailored to each individual customer.
This is where Circles' specialty, "hand-building," comes in.
The advantage of "hand-building" is exactly what the name implies: by selecting each component of the wheel one by one and having our mechanics assemble and complete them, we can build a set of wheels perfectly suited to the user.
