THE FREAKS AND GEEKS OF MOB MTB Fender

THE FREAKS AND GEEKS OF MOB, a MTB fender designed by Nick, also known as Nicholas Haig-Arack, who is familiar from the SimWorks Human Mushroom series.

The design was inspired by the graphics of an old skateboard shop called Concrete Jungle in Santa Rosa, where Nick got his first skateboard as a boy.

The illustration, which carries the message, "The devil is a free, chaotic, and playful trickster that nourishes the flowers blooming on the roadside, encouraging them to break through the concrete and bloom over the cityscape. Are we the devils? Or are we the flowers?", is finished in Nick's signature style of depicting cities being reclaimed by trees and animals.

The base fender is the Eco Shield by the Canadian manufacturer LOAM, made from recycled plastic, and can be attached to MTB suspension forks using zip ties.

At Nick's suggestion, a gold color was adopted as the base color to match the Kashima coat of FOX forks.
